1️⃣ Hang the banner, and hang it November 7th when we play Miami to make a point to the whole world that we accept that head now matters and we thank the world for acknowledging our 1993 national championship.

2️⃣ Take the check for the bowl game, but don’t field our best players. Coordinate this strategy with BYU (who similarly got screwed). Don’t even dress the starters, and every snap, take a knee. Both sides, until the game ends in a 0-0 tie with poor ratings, angry fans, and a total backfire.

3️⃣ Remove all SEC teams from future schedules.

4️⃣ Book a home game for the week after Thanksgiving. Promote the hell out of this. This will be called “The Irish Invitational”. Reserve the game for any bubble team that is not in the SEC and does not have a conference championship game. Teams on the bubble from other conferences will begging to be selected for this game. Make money off of it.

Most importantly, don’t lose a game for the next 14 months.

So what you’re saying is they have two losses to unranked opponents? Listen, I’m a Domer fan, so I want the Irish in. But we should all stop the fist pounding for anyone with two losses or more. Earn it in reg season. No two-loss team has a right to complain if they’re excluded from CFP.

@TomLoy247 It certainly didn't in 1993. And yes, I realize that was a few generations ago, but while it certainly is an easy point to understand, there are countless examples where both the timing of the head to head and the recency bias (how have the teams performed lately) matter more.

Totally agree. Ran Chicago this year (it was electric) and Cleveland Towpath (around 200 participants) last year. Spent the weekend, a fortune, and a lot of mind space on the former. Spent more money and time on my post race meal than I did in money and time to get in the field of the latter.
