In 2017 Senate Bill 128 was sponsored/authored by Senator Mark Messmer and Senator Mike Braun to allow for unelected officials to serve on “economic boards” throughout the State. The sole purpose was the ability to spend taxpayer money without oversight or public input.

The public - private partnerships provide a valuable financial resource for “economic development” by shifting any and all financial liability to taxpayers while simultaneously providing any and all financial gain to the private sector. Many of the benefactors serve on the same economic development boards.

These boards are all over the state; knowingly!

Evansville’s private entity is the “Evansville Regional Economic Partnership” EREP. Prior to former Governor Holcomb’s departure, a $45 million distribution was given to EREP.

Teresa discusses the lawsuit filed by Attorney General Todd Rokita’s office (using taxpayers money against its own citizens). Rokita’s office forced private property owners to allow surveyors on their property against their will, but some residents are refusing access and will be utilizing the courts to challenge the purposeful governmental overreach.
