i’m a teamster at UPS and i’m proud of the work that I do. my coworkers are crazy and idiosyncratic but i believe in them, even if a lot of people don’t.
the replies to this are a great demonstration of how worthless the online left is. so many of these people have built elaborate mental monuments about how they are too important to live a working class life to organize workers. liberalism is a fucking plague
@GLOPULON@SwampCommunist Do you hear yourself? UPS workers don’t care about their workplace conditions? You don’t think they care about management harassment? About access to water or clean drinking water on the job? You are a clown who clearly has never actually organized in your workplace.
This morning, June 16th, there were multiple coordinated raids on immigrant rights activists in the Twin Cities. At least 15 people have been indicted, with the U.S. Grand Jury charging “conspiracy to impede or injure a federal officer,” alongside a number of other trumped-up charges.

“Those of us in the labor movement know that an injury to one is an injury to all. An attack on immigrant workers, the backbone of labor in this country is an attack on the entire working class.”

Why is joining a trade so frowned upon amongst non-ML/Maoist Marxists? Why do so many want to limit themselves to academia, and social media? Why are you content with remaining spectators rather than becoming apart of the proletariat you claim to represent?
The point of class analysis is not to judge individuals, but to understand the general revolutionary potential of large groups of people. Some petty bourgeois will take up revolution. But our broad strategy should focus on the working class.

clear line of demarcation emerging on the tl between people who think revolutions are made principally by:
a) thinkers and communicators, or
b) the toiling masses
This discourse is driving me insane, Lenin and Mao absolutely considered academia & the intelligentsia to be of the petty bourgeois and a bunch of people on here are acting like it’s completely out of left field for an ML to say the same
“Some Points on the Mass Line” by FRSO is an excellent resource for anyone interested in what it means practically to be a communist organizer in the real world.
Essential reading imo!
