In VT substrate mapping, wavefront direction is critical! Here is sinus, RV pacing, and LV pacing all at the same location on the inferior scar. The interaction of the wavefront direction with fixed lines of block create the split and late potentials. #ablateVT@BIDMC_VT
@CVCTForum: It was great to present our @JAMA_current SAFE-IVC analysis with @US_FDA, and see so much interest from the RCT community on how we can use trial data and "real-world evidence" #RWE as complementary tools. Thank you @DrCaliff_FDA & @Shirley_Wang_V for moderating!
Which map here is VT and which is substrate? A key to mapping fixed lines of block during VT ablation to make the WADLs best match the VT boundaries is to strategically choose a pacing site close to the presumed exit. @BIDMC_VT#ablateVT 1/2🧵
Join us at the 19th VT Symposium in NYC Oct 11-12 in NYC in person or online. @BIDMC_VT faculty Jonathan Waks and @TimothyMaherMD1 present on vectorcardiogram predictors of VT inducibility and multiwavefront VT substrate mapping

BIDMC VT Center Faculty with @Medtronic and Exponent rethink and re-examine the safety of cremating patients with implantable electronic devices. What happens when the guidelines are put to the test?

@ZimetbaumP and I had a great outcome for our patient @BIDMChealth w/ #pacemaker +MSSA bacteremia w/ 2x2cm right atrial mass: #ICE imaging essential to direct #alphavac & remove mass with one single manual aspiration. Given PFO, this greatly enhanced safety of lead extraction!
Join us in congratulating PIs Dr. Dan Kramer @SmithBIDMC & Dr. Issa Dahabreh @CAUSALab on the award of their study RAPTOR-CIED from @PCORI!

Infarct VT w/ U-shaped WADL in sinus w/ perfect match with a “dead-end” CT wall thickness channel (@inheartmedical). No surprise the VT isthmus was there. A substrate dead end doesn’t necessarily mean bystander! VT is in 3D! @BIDMC_VT@enricoferroMD@davilandre@DrRoderickTung
Nice redo post-infarct case - given prior inferior infarct we explored the epicardial space and found nice WADLs and channels seen from multiple points of view: sinus, RV pacing, and LV pacing. @davilandre, @fritzstabenau , @BIDMC_VT , #ablateVT
