With the HIV response facing such massive disruption, and with communities serving the most marginalized under such pressure, @UNAIDS is helping countries redesign programmes strategically, strengthen data systems, protect treatment, and make every dollar count.

One week. Many conversations. And some important questions about what comes next.
At #UNGA81, UNAIDS brought the lessons of the HIV response into the wider conversation on pandemic preparedness, advanced discussions on health sovereignty and access to science, and pushed for HIV responses that countries can lead and sustain.
The work continues. UNAIDS will keep convening governments, communities and partners, connecting political leadership, science and evidence, and supporting action to end AIDS.
That’s what we’re taking forward.
Happy birthday to Gal Costa, born on this day in 1945!
A captivating voice of Brazilian music, she brought warmth, emotion, and a fearless spirit to bossa nova, tropicalia, and MPB.
The transformation of @UNAIDS must deliver for the 41 million people living with HIV around the world, especially for those most marginalized and criminalized.
The future of the HIV response must be more country-owned, more community-led, and more sustainably financed, while remaining grounded in human rights.
Ultimately, transformation is not only about integrating UNAIDS into the UN system, it's about integrating the AIDS response into stronger national institutions.

Esto es clave y la posición de España en este tema es muy reseñable.
Para que el Acuerdo de Pandemias se sustancie y sea útil es necesario adoptar posiciones guiadas por la mirada larga y la justicia global.
Y ahí está España.
Every human being has equal value. Every single one.
At the United Nations General Assembly, I challenged a world that still decides whose lives deserve protection and whose suffering can be ignored.
No race is superior. No people are disposable. Until we honour that truth, "everywhere is war" remains a warning we have failed to heed.
What the world needs now is love, with the courage to confront injustice and defend our shared humanity.
Love and a little kindness. For everyone.
