دراسة إستطلاعية تضمنت عدد ٥٤٨ شخص أجريت في الرياض (نُشرت في فبراير ٢٠٢٦) أظهرت أرقاماً صادمة عن تأثير القيادة في الإزدحام على الصحة النفسية للسائقين:

- ٢٣٪ من المشاركين أبلغوا عن معاناتهم من نوبات غضب مستمرة (Anger Outbursts) أثناء القيادة.

- ٨٧.٦٪ سجلوا مستويات عالية من (القلق - Anxiety) بمجرد التفكير في الخروج وقت الذروة.

- ٣١٪ من المشاركين أبلغوا عن تعرضهم لـ (نوبات هلع - Panic Attacks) داخل سياراتهم بسبب الاختناق المروري!

- ٢٥.٩٪ يصلون إلى وجهاتهم (سواء العمل أو المنزل) وهم في حالة استنزاف ذهني وجسدي كامل.

عندي قناعة بإن (قيادة السيارات) في المدن المعروفة بالإزدحام المروري هي من أهم أسباب القلق والضغط النفسي في العصر الحديث.
