As well as scoring achievement, progress and effort for all 32 children for all core and foundation subjects, I have to write text comments for writing, reading, maths, science and RE. And then an overall statement for each child. I make that 24,000 words minimum...

IDF soldiers in Gaza have expressed frustration that the ground campaign is painstakingly slow. I asked why that is so. They said, for example, when they call in an air strike against a terrorist target, it takes forever to get clearance. Why? Because the IDF insists on making sure there are no innocent civilians around. Did the US do this in World War 2? Korea? Vietnam? Iraq? Afghanistan? Of course not. But Israel does and it puts our soldiers at risk. But you know what? The soldiers I spoke with said they wouldn’t have it any other way.

So remember this when you read the Palestinian propaganda about Israel slaughtering innocents in Gaza. War is hell and innocents will be hurt, but Israel is doing the best it can to avoid needless carnage while at the same time ridding the world of bestial terror.

@Jessg85 @MarkIraSmith @Alex_Bramley3 Completely agree- and even worse when it’s expected of children and adults are dressed for dog walking. I wear a branded polo shirt on pe days, a simple uniform in line with our expectations of children 👍

@MarkIraSmith @Alex_Bramley3 Bit of a naive response - I clearly said in line with, not the same. E.g. If pupils are expected to wear ties, so should teachers. If pupils can’t wear trainers or sandals, neither should staff. Id feel ridiculous and hypocritical if it were otherwise - but see it too often.
