Thank you to everyone who attended our last #BacktoNature session of 2022! 🍂 Inspired by ‘Room on the Broom’ we used a range of different resources to create our own magical potions and wands 🧙🏻♀️🪄

This Fridays session is going to be in the nursery grounds and is on 9:30am-11:30am at the latest. Rain is forecast but the session will still be going ahead! We have waterproof suits in the nursery if your child will need one - hope to see you all there 😊🍃🌧️
#MathsWeekScot We have been identifying shapes and colours, using them to create menus for our diner using a matching system. We have been further developing our pencil control and mark making by drawing our own shapes 🔺🔷🟩🟡
#MathsWeekScot Today we went on a community walk to collect leaves. We used them for leaf printing and collage to create placemats for our diner. Our learners were having discussions about the different colours and sizes of the leaves and why they are changing colour 🍁🍃🍂
We had a great morning at Zetland Park, developing our gross motor and turn-taking skills and having fun! 😁 We then had our woodland experience, discovering “rainbow dust” and sparking conversation about the weather 🌈⛈☀️ and of course we toasted marshmallows! 🔥 @beanxnursery
This week we’ve been exploring music. We learned names of instruments and experimented with various ways to make music. We developed our language by describing the sounds. We were being rockstars and today we were DJ’s. We plan to perform a show next week 🎸💿🎵 @beanxnursery
As it was a very windy day, we chose to make kites to see if they could fly! We had lots of fun exploring the weather and seeing the effects of the wind! We seen a rainbow too, we know that rainbows are made when it’s raining and sunny at the same time 💨🪁🌈 @beanxnursery
Today Beancross nursery transformed into Hogwarts! We dined in the great hall, built hogwarts in the block area, created school ties and lots more magical activities! Lots of fun had by all our wizards and witches 🧙♀️⚡️🪄 #BXNursery @beanxnursery
(1/3) We continued our interest in measuring weight in our mud kitchen! We used “heavy” and “light” ingredients to make “yummy chocolate cake” and “vegetable soup”, further developing our fine motor skills through chopping and dicing 🔪🥕🥦 @beanxnursery #outdoorplay
Since coming back to nursery we have been learning about article 31 of the rights of the child. We were discussing what we like to play with in nursery and how nursery helps us learn! @BPSRights
