@rjl20 I imagine that that sentence is a direct result of "We have to say *something* negative or else everyone will think we just cut-and-pasted the press release."
@WidsithAtopos @LogarHailCrom @MichaelCHsiung If you have any trouble with your deck, just let me know. I have a cassette player already plugged into my sound card.
@TheArtGremblin I would have said "Hook" matches that description almost perfectly, but someone else beat me to it, so instead I'll recommend "Dissembler" by Ian MacLarty: https://t.co/U6DfChWUcg
@WidsithAtopos I honestly half expected the money to just disappear with nothing to show. (I imagine rural Americans in the 1890s felt much the same way I did when they mailed a check off to the Sears & Roebuck.)
@Foone (And, as experienced co-workers informed me, only the most popular onesโSRCCOPY, SRCPAINT, SRCINVERT, and one or two othersโwere safe to use: video card drivers were rarely tested beyond those, and were usually buggy.)
@Foone In theory, BitBlt() supported 256 possible ways to combine the source bitmap, the destination image, and the current brush. But only 15 of those 256 combinations had actual names. To use one of the others, you had to work out the flag value by hand.
