Designing Sounds For Games - with @BRidgeGameAudio
Read here👉 https://t.co/Q4PYlYRjOI
We cover:
🔸 Creative tricks for sounds that don’t exist
🔸 How non-audio devs can give better feedback
🔸 Where indies should focus limited audio budgets
🔸 How audio defines a game’s feel & identity
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Ben on the audio for Marauders, and he’s an absolute joy to collaborate with. Always positive, always passionate, and always pushing for the best possible audio experience. With nearly 15 years in the industry, his insights into how audio shapes games are well worth a read.

🔊Check out some of the cool sounds we've done so far for @Aeruta_official, alongside the composers at @RedEyesStu. It's coming together nicely!

Here's one of the tracks we did for the gramophone in @PlayMarauders haha. You're going to bleed out and lose all that precious loot, there's no time to get to your ship... Might as well relax.

I'm looking for an audio warlord to make my new company look (and sound) good. This is a 6 month part time contract - perfect for anyone taking the plunge into freelancing and needing a bit of reliable income while they start out.
If you're having trouble adding your showreel to your application, you can add links to the "availability for interview" section, or attach a document with links, or include it in your CV or cover letter. Or just post it here or DM me or email me!
@LisetteAmago Hey! I can't really see myself needing help from anyone specialising purely in orchestration. I'm more looking for a mix of game audio skills.
@ottoman42@GameAudioRT Thanks! I think this is helping me get some more variation. I was afraid to let ANY highs come through at all, but this is cool, I'm managing to get little sneaky highs here n' there that aren't detracting too much from the muffle feeling.
#gameaudio#sounddesign anyone got any cool tricks for low-passed sound design?
I've got a bunch of different sounds going on in a permanently "muffled" environment, and I'm trying to come up with ways to differentiate them more so I don't end up with a low end soundswamp.
@fabiobaumgatore@IndieGameIntl Cheers Fabio! Definitely having some success with adding some dynamic movement to the EQ :) I was instructed to keep the muffle fairly consistent, but I think letting highs poke through some of the transients a bit is a nice comprimise haha.
#Thymesia is out and I'm already hooked! Congrats to @OverBorderGames and @team17. I was lucky enough to contribute a few earticklers to the soundtrack. Here are the ones I did:
