@Mason64752401 Many did, the few who didn't were so awesome when it felt like you could breathe when you went into class. It became easy to burn out in some classes. The more aware teachers wouldn't be constantly barraging us with work in and out of school.

@ElisabethNg2 Great question, I'm curious about this too. To me it seems I respect and think more highly of the professors who break norms and encourage all learning or at least break away from lecturing all the time. So those teachers have nothing to worry about in my eyes.

@constmcook Learning more about the negative and positive labels educators may have in their heads (like we just did) is probably the first step to actually stopping it. When a bias appears we can recognize it and change our behavior or tendencies to treat all students more fairly.

@Paige17516310 Learning from a textbook is awesome but the practical skill of being able to find quality information elsewhere is essential later when we won't be paying for textbooks and have the same resources available so it does seem as important to me.

@KS_edchat With Covid-19 there is no "the way it's always has been" to fall back on to, so hopefully people who were once closed minded to new methods will embrace the changes they have to implement and continue innovating.

@ElisabethNg2 If they aren't passionate they won't be nearly as effective because the students can tell that what a teacher is thinking or feeling like the book mentions. The passionate teachers are the ones who make it so you would regret missing a class it's so awesome.
