@KweezleQueen#teacherfriends A3 this is a good question. I might invite themt o come sing with us. Or maybe make aspcial musical xperience about being online - some kind of chaining activity from one student to another to allow for the latency effect.
@KweezleQueen#teacherfriends Q2 I tell stories - but i don't think that is wide spread enough. Some of the great thiings ihave done have ben bring my young children's music band to a music teacher confrnce and have the students teach the music teachers how to play jug band instruments. GREAT!
@Shannon91981 #teacherfriends what kind of food do you like? I bake a yam and eat it with nut or seed butter or sauteed vegtables. 3 bean salad is good. cold chinese style noodles.
@maalmeida85 @Shannon91981 How about baking or microwaving a yam at home and bringing it to eat with nut or seed butter?
I like cold beans or 3 bean salad. Also lox rolled with cream cheese. Shredded cucumber and tofu salad (?)#teacherfriends
#quotes4edu School went online and i had trouble getting library material. so I bought a kindle paperwhite (was VERY hesitant) and I LOVE IT. The screen is so much easier for those of us with visual issues. TRY IT! You won't be sorry! Best tech flyer I have done in a while!!!!
#quotes4eduI am reading Rachelle Poth's Unconventional: Ways to Thrive in EDU for another project. It's pretty good! For the technically challenged like me - it gives you some ways to think about things. Also, speaking of trying something new - see my next tweet!
@KnockTyler I went to "A blueprint for change." Takeaways: 1) Imagine "perfection" is in the class rooom and locate it. Meaning it is possible for all to rise to the challenge 2) you yourself an only change if you want to! 3) Other PD: Our job is let children stay children and learn.
@meganflahert You can get a great song to use.Acknowledgement of the difficulty/being heard /witness helps you relax so you can think. A teacher buddy - can give you a break & confirm your perception. When a student was violently killed, I got a private hug, then class coverage to recover.
@aaviahna I isolate/have isolated because I am an introvert and get overwhelmed and because as a music educator am often the only music person in the building...we often have classrooms (if we have one) in weird far-away places or we don't even a a room or desk. You may have 3 sites.
@aaviahna So important to know that your students change and so what and how you teach must change - also if you want, you just keep getting better at teaching, so your increased efficiency changes a lesson plan or unit just like that!
@mbarredu This is so visually pleasing - something I really struggle with - there is what my mind wants/ envisions - and then what I am able to execute! Nice!
@MattChecrallah My worst room was a converted shop room into music room. Terrible acoustics/size/shape. Dangerous broken-locked wires/closet attached. Broken window that students crawled out of. I was warned to lock myself IN the room if I was ever alone. Yikes!
@IsabellaNotara2 I have not had that problem. I might explain why I don't give more but if they insist, I might provide interesting resources where the student can work independently on something interesting/relevant.
