Go join this discord! We are getting a lot of our Central Texas and surrounding area folks in here so it would be a great place to chat with and learn from others in the area!
9 more members in the @defcon512 / @_secatx Discord and we will hit 100 members. We recently roped in SATX and DFW peeps interested in chatting and collabing. If you are in ATX or surrounding cities help us get to 100 members! https://t.co/mrnABp9TAm
@LockCamp @ajn142 @blenster We would like to, it just looks like it might slip into late next year or 2023. We'll definitely let you know when we get something figured.
We hate to say it, but we just can't make BSides Austin happen in 2021. Our venue closed, and we have yet to find a suitable replacement. We hope to present a face-to-face event in late spring 2022. Watch here for updates. Thank you for your continued interest and support!
I also apologize for not putting out an announcement sooner, but I wanted to wait and see what was possible. We hope everyone is staying safe and well!

Just to let everyone know, there won't be a BSidesBCS in 2021. We feel that it is better to not have an in-person event and we feel that a virtual event won't meet our goals. We plan to be back in February 2022 so look out for more info later this year.
Once again we are postponing #BSidesAustin 2020 because of COVID-19, this time until October 7-8, 2021. More information, including how to get a refund, can be found at https://t.co/nYJ94SwxON @SecurityBSides@BSidesSATX@LASCONATX@AustinISSA Stay safe! We miss you all!
Everybody should come to InfoSec Oasis on Saturday! No VR required, they have a great lineup of speakers! And there is a rumor about an awesome afterparty but you didn't hear that from us😉
We just added a whole bunch of amazing speakers to our lineup! Check out https://t.co/71AEAXEByZ for details.
You can now join us on Discord to chat outside of VR (https://t.co/dnkCB1PDGt).
We are already at 281 RSVPs. We can't wait to see you all next Saturday!
We hope everyone out there is doing alright. If anyone needs anything, please feel free to reach out. We are all in this together and the community is here to help. #StayHome#AllInThisTogether
I have created a private Discord channel for conference organizers. This way, we can work together to come up with good solutions, and crowd-source ideas. DM for an invite, please.

Good evening everyone! We have been keeping an eye on the news regarding COVID-19 and the different events being rescheduled or canceled. We are actively discussing options at this time of how to best handle this. We will keep you all updated with any decisions we make!

Question from annon friend : What are some skills in general should I be focused on if I wanted to do that? I have been told that learning linux and playing CTFs are essential. Would you say coding skills are essential for offensive security? 1/1
