Look we aren’t converting Trump supporters anymore. You miss the point if you’re talking to “undecideds” or targeting MAGA to “see the light.” We are in a turn out game and a create more Democratic voters mission now. That’s why Taylor Swift matters. Politics is a turn out game. It’s not just how many are registered. It’s about how many show up! Voter registrations have sky rocketed because of Taylor and VP Harris’ nomination. If she drives Gen Z and Millennial turn out to the most in history it’s game over. We don’t need to convert Trumper’s. We outnumber them now. We need to show up and vote. We have 7 weeks to register, check your registration, and VOTE! When we show up we win. #BacktoVacation
One of the most interesting realizations I've had recently:
People who want to build a business online struggle with 2 things pretty badly:
1. They are way too future-focused.
2. They overcomplicate everything.
Re: Future focus — When you're building an online business, you cannot predict where you're going to be in 5 years or 10 years.
Goals are great. Trying to plan out everything perfectly is not.
Especially if you're building an audience. When you build an audience, there are hundreds of opportunities that come your way that you were never expecting.
That's why I write so much about action.
The more action you take, the more opportunities you uncover. It's up to you to put each opportunity through a decision framework to understand whether it's worth pursuing.
Just start writing and helping people. See what resonates. See what doesn't. Stop doing what doesn't, and do more of what does.
"What if nothing's resonating?"
Then have some patience and keep trying. I was on Twitter for 12 years before hit 4,000 followers.
Re: Overcomplication — Two of my friends just launched a creator community and made $27,000 in their first month.
Simple little Carrd website, good copywriting, and social media posts.
No email automation, no lead magnet, no Zapier zaps, no crazy design or branding.
They just started. They'll get way more polished over time and the money they are making NOW will fund that.
You can start a business with a small following, good content and a Notion Doc as a landing page.
Been wanting to write this for a few weeks as I think it's helpful information for most people trying to get started.
Have an awesome Thursday evening.
So, I spoke to people getting food at a food bank and here are some things I learned from those in need:
1. Everyone donates Kraft Mac and Cheese in the box. They can rarely use it because it needs milk and butter which is hard to get from regular food banks.
2. Boxed milk is a treasure, as kids need it for cereal which they also get a lot of.
3. Everyone donates pasta sauce and spaghetti noodles.
4. They cannot eat all the awesome canned veggies and soup unless you put a can opener in too or buy pop tops.
5. Oil is a luxury but needed for Rice a-Roni which they also get a lot of.
6. Spices or salt and pepper would be a real Christmas gift.
7. Tea bags and coffee make them feel like you care.
8. Sugar and flour are treats.
9. They fawn over fresh produce donated by farmers and grocery stores.
10. Seeds are cool in Spring and Summer because growing can be easy for some.
11. They rarely get fresh meat.
12. Tuna and crackers make a good lunch.
13. Hamburger Helper goes nowhere without ground beef.
14. They get lots of peanut butter and jelly but usually not sandwich bread.
15. Butter or margarine is nice too.
16. Eggs are a real commodity.
17. Cake mix and frosting makes it possible to make a child’s birthday cake.
18. Dishwashing detergent is very expensive and is always appreciated.
19. Feminine hygiene products are a luxury and women will cry over that.
20. Everyone loves Stove Top Stuffing.
In all the years I have donated food at the Holidays, I bought what I thought they wanted, but have never asked. I am glad I did. If you are helping a Family this Christmas, maybe this can help you tailor it more. It does for me!
Thanks to the combined efforts from our Wildcat community we’re thrilled to be able to give $7,000 to @cancare_inc to help ensure no one fights cancer alone 💕 #PinkOut
Conquering your fear isn't about "being brave."
It's about taking action despite the fear, leading you to realize it was harmless all along.
A mindset requirement for solopreneurs.
🧵GOP candidates on Trump indictment:
“Why so zealous in pursuing Trump yet so passive about Hillary or Hunter? @RonDeSantis
“I’m deeply troubled to see this indictment move forward.”-@mikepence
"No one is above the law, no matter how much they wish they were. @GovChristie
Why have we settled for spending the best years of our lives tied to a 'stable' job, giving 40 hours a week to a company that doesn't care about us, and reserving our passions for post-retirement?
It makes zero sense.
BREAKING: Republican Liz Cheney releases a BRUTAL attack ad against Donald Trump, calling him a "a risk America can never take again" in a video that is sure to infuriate the disgraced former president.
She points out that he is the "only president in American history" to refuse the "peaceful transition of power" and he "betrayed millions of Americans" by spreading the Big Lie after Joe Biden defeated him in 2020.
He watched on television as his Capitol insurrection unfolded and refused to take action to call off his supporters.
"There has never been a greater dereliction of duty by any president," says Cheney.
Retweet if you think that she absolutely nailed it!
If they continue this game then all the conversations about mental health, player safety and players come first is bull. This game doesn’t matter. Demar matters. There is only one thing to do —-pray for Demar and focus on him
Here is Damar Hamlin’s charity which provides toys for children. I donated a couple bucks.
Obviously not a lot that our football community can do in times like this but it costs nothing to share the link and contribute to a cause he’s invested in. https://t.co/svvuVma3lm
