We are excited to present Nexa Full-Node 2.2.0.0, an important milestone and the final checkpoint before the upcoming hard-fork that brings the Tailstorm integration to mainnet.

This is a preparatory release that includes the new Tailstorm source code for the major protocol upgrade, and it prepares the network for the next release.

Everyone who runs a Nexa Full-Node, whether stand-alone, integrated with a service, or as a wallet back-end: please update your client to the latest version.

If you hold any assets on the full-node wallet, we always advise you to securely back up your wallet.dat file before installing an upgrade.

Outside of my career in crypto, I run a humanitarian and social impact mission. I founded Shekinah House many years ago; last year we worked to support the rescue of 6 underaged minors from human trafficking in Cambodia alongside INO Projects who are based there.

👉 Today, I have been in connection with my contacts in Nepal, seeking to understand the scope of what’s needed on the ground in the regions along the affected areas of the flood path.

There is a group of volunteers based in the Dhading District who are mobilising this week.

They informed us that the following are needed:

- Flood Relief & Emergency Groceries: Build a reserve of rice, lentils, oil, vegetables, clean water and other essentials.
- Temporary Accommodation: Mattresses, blankets, bedding, sanitation supplies and safe sleeping space for flood-affected families or children who need short-term shelter.

My org will be supporting them. This post is an invitation if you feel called to do the same.

Crypto payments are accepted in the form of USDT. @BitcoinCashOG is also accepted, I’m informed. I also have bank account details for direct transfer to Nepal for the organisation of volunteers.

We have a plan for accountability of distribution of aid. If you are interested in learning how to support, please DM me.

There are people, Jobs, Musk, etc, who tend to see through the fog and make good decisions. In the early days, I thought sociologists should study early adopters as a group to puzzle out this capability.

But interacting with maximalists (really they should be called minimalist) has made it absolutely clear that luck and indoctrination into alt-cultures explains these people's involvement, since they have not made a single sensible decision since. The key "digital gold" argument (crypto is a better gold), requires innovation or the same argument is applicable to move away from BTC to an innovative altcoin.

One thing you missed was that, unbelievably to me, the pernicious maxi culture carried over into BCH! All the same rejections of new features, dismissal of alts, etc was there. The lack of rational analysis -- "Core except big blocks" philosophy dominated during the ABC years, resulting in almost no technical progress, a culture of exclusion, and the coalition that Roger, Jihan, and I built started splintering just months after Bitcoin Unlimited was no longer the primary client.

While BTC can continue relying on its first mover advantage, BCH needed to innovate quickly to counter it. This persistent irrationality was why I founded Nexa.
