German colonizers in Namibia, due to their interest in evolutionary theory and missing links executed inmates and decapitated them.
Herero women were required to remove all flesh from the heads to create clean skulls suitable for shipment for study in German Institutes.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, German colonial rule in what is now Namibia led to one of the earliest genocides of the modern era, known as the Herero and Nama genocide. Between 1904 and 1908, tens of thousands of Herero and Nama people were killed through violence, forced displacement, starvation, and confinement in harsh conditions. This period reflects how colonial expansion was often enforced through extreme brutality and dehumanization.
Part of this system involved the misuse of science to justify racial hierarchies. Influenced by distorted interpretations of evolutionary theory, some European researchers sought to study human remains in an attempt to rank different groups of people. Victims of colonial violence were treated as objects of study rather than human beings. Remains were taken and sent to institutions in Germany, where they were used in research that promoted harmful and false ideas about race.
Herero women were forced under coercive conditions to handle and prepare these remains for shipment. This added another layer of trauma to communities that were already experiencing immense loss. These actions were not isolated incidents but part of a broader system that stripped people of dignity and humanity in the name of empire and so called scientific progress.
Today, this history is increasingly recognized and studied, and there have been ongoing efforts to return human remains to Namibia and acknowledge the injustices committed. Conversations about reparations, historical accountability, and remembrance continue as part of a larger effort to confront the legacy of colonial violence.
๐จRoy Keane on the refereeing vs Leeds:
"Disgraceful. Absolutely disgraceful. That referee didn't just make mistakes, he was actively working against Man United. Every 50-50 went to Leeds, every dive got rewarded."
"I've seen more honest referees in Sunday league. This wasn't a game, it was a bloody conspiracy with a whistle."
There is a plant that grows in #Namibia desert that has been alive since before the Ottoman Empire existed.
It has a few leaves. They grow for a thousand years, sometimes two thousand, splitting and fraying in the wind, but they never fall off and they are never replaced. The plant drinks fog. It survives in a place where almost nothing else can. Charles Darwin called it the most wonderful plant ever brought to this country. Its name is Welwitschia mirabilis, and it only grows here.
Think about what that plant has watched. It was already old when the Portuguese sailed past this coast in the 1480s and decided it wasnโt worth landing. It was middle-aged when the Herero migrated down from the great lakes. It was a sapling when Rome fell. And it is still here. Still drinking fog. Still watching.
INSTANT PAYMENT: Bank of Namibia governor Ebson Uanguta has announced that Namibiaโs first instant payment solution will go live this June. Unlike traditional bank transfers that take days to clear, this digital system enables real-time money transfers 24/7, ensuring funds are received within seconds.
โWe have made good progress with our instant payment solution. This system will help us ensure that those previously excluded from our financial system are now brought on board,โ Uanguta said.

Howard Lotsof was 19 years old and addicted to heroin when he took ibogaine in 1962 for fun.
He came down 36 hours later with no withdrawal symptoms and no craving for heroin.
He tried it on six addicted friends.
Five of them had ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐๐น๐.
He spent the next 48 years trying to get it approved as medicine. He died in 2010, still waiting.
His early data has since been replicated. It is now considered the most promising addiction treatment ever discovered.

.@FNBNamibia ATMs to Accept New Banknotes
FNB Namibia says its Automated Deposit Terminals (ADTs) now accept the new Namibia Dollar banknotes introduced by Bank of Namibia.
The update allows customers to deposit the new N$200, N$100, N$50, N$20 and N$10 banknotes at deposit-enabled ATMs across the country. The banknote series was introduced as part of the central bankโs rollout of the next generation of Namibiaโs currency.
According to FNB Namibia National Cash and SSD Manager Namibia Katuuo, the upgrade required updates to ATM systems to ensure the new banknotes are recognised and processed.
Katuuo said the update supports continued deposit services at the bankโs ATM network while aligning with national banking requirements.
Customers can deposit both the new banknotes and the existing notes currently in circulation at FNB Namibia deposit-enabled ATMs.
The bank said the commemorative N$30 and N$60 banknotes remain legal tender, but are not supported by the ATM upgrade.

๐จ๐ฌ๐งโGET OFF MY LAND!โ Clarkson Rejects ยฃ100M Offer and Sparks National Debate
Jeremy Clarkson has once again placed himself at the center of a storm, reportedly turning down a staggering ยฃ100 million offer from Bill Gates to buy Diddly Squat Farm. According to the narrative circulating online, the deal allegedly included controversial conditions that Clarkson believed could reshape the future of British agriculture.
Rather than cash in, he chose to refuse โ framing the decision as a stand for independent farmers and local food production. The story has fueled debate about billionaire land investments, corporate influence, and who ultimately controls the countryside.
Imagine you're too homophobic to wear a colourful badge but you're comfortable touching balls of a different colours with your feet?!
Homophobes are so gay, bro! ๐๐
๐จ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐: Premier League captains will no longer be required to wear rainbow armbands or pride-themed warm-up tops.
The league is now considering introducing a pride-themed match ball instead.
The change follows push-back from certain individual players and a complaint from a Premier League player to his own club because he was featured on the front of the match-day programme during the Rainbow Laces period for a second consecutive year.
He was concerned people would think he was gay.

I've watched the documentary countless times, stories of ordinary people from all around the world. This Namibian OmuHimba lady's notion of happiness makes her enviable.
Glazernomics explained:
-United could have bought like Semenyo, Emerson from Atalanta (or another CM) and a wing back like say Jeremie Frimpong for app. an additional ยฃ160m in the summer of 2025. In that case Amorim would have been backed. They did not for cash flow reasons.
-Firing Amorim and crew will cost United 20m.
-Missing CL will cost the club ยฃ100m plus.
-United will spend roughly around ยฃ160m on another winger, CM and fullback in the summer of 2026.
So itโs perfectly possible that putting off an investment in the squad of ยฃ160m from 25โ to 26โ will cost the club at least ยฃ125m. Is this financially defendable? Absolutely not. The cost of money is 5-10% per year. Ie the additional cost of investing ยฃ160m in the squad in 2025 instead of in 2025 is just ยฃ8m to ยฃ16m. The โalternative costโ of not making the investment is ยฃ125m.
Itโs said in a negative way that United is run as a business. Nothing could be further from the truth โ run a business like this and you could end up in jail.
A relevant question is โ OK, we all recognize how the 6 Glazer siblings have run the club in a braindead fashion. But they arenโt business persons, they are ordinary Joes and none of them ever accomplished anything in their lives unlike their dad who bought the club. But how come Ineos/Ratcliffe keeps running the club like this?
The answer to this is very telling. We donโt know if Ineos painted themselves into a corner with the agreement with the Glazers, we donโt know whether they have any money or if they just see United as a giant vanity project in the form of a black back table. But facts are that our owners are taking extremely high risks with the future of the club.
We will spend 750m over the coming three years on the transfer market. Our owners could in the summer have said โ enough is enough. Man United canโt finish 15th. Here is an interest free share holder loan of 250m. You can spend 500m in the summer of 25โ and then 125m in 26โ and 125m in 27โ instead of 250m per year those three years.
This is why the owners must be pressured. Why there should be protests at OT and game called off. This is our club. When it doesnโt do well โ itโs us, the fans that suffer. There are extremely low hanging fruit available to improve the club on the owner side. Neville and co put 100% of the blame on the manager and players.
