I have 3 kids and my wife turned down each test they run for genetic disorders. My youngest son and our last was diagnosed with MCAD. For context 0.006% of newborns have MCAD. He’ll be turning 10 this August and he’s the nicest, honest and kindest kid you’ll ever met. Everyone has reasons and different beliefs but I couldn’t even imagine us saying “Ehh he has MCAD, let’s call a mulligan”. Also why post this on X? I’m not even sure why I’m replying, i suppose it pissed me off. To anyone reading this and if you’re planning to have kids, just play with the cards you’re dealt.
