I am so tired of seeing these posts.

I am so tired of seeing my beloved field of study be the testing lab for a technology that is disrupting everyday life at such a high pace.

Mathematics were always about the beauty of seeing the ideas of a person unfolded in an extremely precise language so we can all look into a mathematician's mind and see their purest form of ideas, their understanding of a problem, their style, their way of communicating to other fellow researchers through mathematical results... this often transcends the common language humans use to communicate with each other and it is incredibly exciting to bump into shared ideas another person had thousands of kilometers away several years ago without even knowing them.

I am extremely unexcited about AI-breakthroughs in Mathematics in the same way I am extremely unexcited about a picture created by AI or an AI-generated video, not to speak about AI-generated text. Mathematics requires soul and intention. Mathematics need not be useful by definition, Mathematics are pure art that need hard work and effort to understand. The high you get when a year of work gets condensed in a one-page result is incomparable to anything else and, certainly, a machine is not apt to relate to humans in such a humane way.

I am not interested in the truth of the results. I am interested in how was the mind behind a result able to connect those dots. I am interested in the diversity human thoughts bring to Mathematics. I am not interested in a bunch of servers running probabilities to return a Theorem, even if true: that lacks the objective of Mathematics as I see them.

The threat actor identified by the alias shelI has posted on a criminal forum the alleged exfiltration and sale of the complete database of the Inteligeo system, a centralized platform for collecting geographic, cartographic, and environmental intelligence information used by the Brazilian Federal Police (Polícia Federal - PF) for tracking commercial activities, environmental crimes, and territorial control. The attacker claims the stolen data exceeds 100 GB of structured data.

⚔️ Potential Attack Vector: Code injection into Inteligeo backend endpoints, compromise of credentials belonging to analysts or investigative personnel of the PF, or leakage of SQL relational database backups exposed on perimeter servers.

As of June 22, 2026, neither the Brazilian Federal Police nor the Ministry of Justice has issued official statements regarding any data breaches affecting the Inteligeo system. Confirmo que há todos os indícios típicos de bloqueio nacional determinado pela Anatel no dia de hoje para https://t.co/cw6yji79x7. Nas quartas-feiras, geralmente em dias de jogos de futebol, a agência de reúne com as maiores operadoras do país e determina o bloqueio de endereços utilizados pelos TV boxes. A lista de endereços bloqueados é mantido em sigilo pela agência, algo que tenho criticado em artigos, entrevistas e palestras.

Os indícios são:

1) O fato de ocorrer numa quarta-feira e pelo relato desse internauta que me acionou, ontem o problema não ocorria.

2) O fato do IP 4.228.31.149 para qual aponta o FQDN https://t.co/cw6yji79x7 estar bloqueado somente na Claro, Vivo, Nio, Algar e TIM e *NÃO* em ISPs regionais conforme posso testar com o comando globalping.

3) O fato de outros endereços IP contidos no mesmo bloco /24 serem normalmente alcançáveis, o que exclui problemas de roteamento já que todos os IPs entre 4.228.31.1 e 4.228.31.255 necessariamente pertencem a mesma rota (vide exemplo 4.228.31.3).

Recomendo que os afetados entrem em contato com seus provedores mostrando evidências coletadas a partir de sua casa ou empresa e exijam uma resposta do porquê não havia rota para 4.228.31.149 na noite de 10/06/26 enquanto para 4.228.31.3 há.

i am still in shock that Qwen 3.5 27B dense on a single RTX 3090, a $900 GPU, one shotted a game challenge that 120B MoE at full precision on $70K+ production hardware could not.

this is leading me to doubt if it was a fluke. so i am going to reproduce it. i will test 27B dense Q4 on my single 3090 again paired with Hermes Agent and have it reproduce the results. after that i will test the same dense 27B but unquantized because if Q4 can one shot something that 120B full precision cannot then i wonder what dense 27B unquantized would do.

dense models with all parameters active on every token might matter more than total parameter count for agent coding. if this reproduces it changes how i think about what hardware you actually need.

this is not letting me sleep well since yesterday. i will report back.
