Did some test streams today after doing some maintenance on my PC to try and figure out that pesky issue with OBS crashing my entire computer. I THINK I managed to resolve it.

I do kinda agree. but I feel like that's what He himself didn't understand. even in scenes like when he talks about having a dream where his family is smiling together at the dinner table, but he's not there.

I wouldn't say that the atonement was self-serving, it's more that he felt that him making amends just wasn't possible, nor something that he deserved. his entire viewpoint was that all he could do was just try to give the best life he could to his children while staying out of their way.

I do still think it's a well written arc, and his intentions were good overall, but yeah, he made mistakes. Even when trying to better himself. I think that just kinda makes it more human.
