My Titan Is Royally Broken Today
If I click him I get weasel error every time but my other characters work fine. Last thing I did was load into the moon patrol. Before that I created a new titan on an alt account on xbox to run the story.

Basically the whole D2 Sandbox team is gone, myself included.
The good news is if you liked the way Destiny felt to shoot and play, there’s going to be a lot of great designers in the market looking to help other games step it up.
These changes sound nice and all but at this point I don't think this is enough to save the game and bring most players back.
These are all things that people were begging for half a year ago and had they been implemented then, then I think we would be in a different situation. But things are much more dire now than they were back then. Player numbers have bled out too much and itll take way more than this to bring them back.
Furthermore to still hear nothing significant about the roadmap or the state of the game and the big picture plans for the franchise is so frustrating. I understand that these types of things probably take a lot of time but the community has felt so led on for so long due to the lack of communication and expectation setting when it comes to estimated times of delivery on these items. Everyone has been under the impression that these things have been right around the corner week after week for the last 6 months and its just death by a thousand cuts every single week that we hear nothing.
To wait till june for anything noteworthy also feels like a borderline death sentence considering player numbers are already rock bottom and will continue to fall with no significant updates or communications. It feels like the game is going to enter a state of dormancy more than it already has and things like tier 5 exotic stats and game wide gear tiering will NOT be enough to dig out of that.
I mean no disrespect, just honest and genuine feedback, but as a destiny player I am hurting big time right now and expected way more and would've liked to see it communicated it way sooner, and I know most of the community feels the same way.
I do feel it important to make it as clear as possible though that I feel that the changes promised will NOT be enough. If this is all that is planned for the future and to save the current state of the game, please reconsider and find ways to do more. I understand that is a tall ask, but I feel its necessary for the game to find its footing again.
Here's an idea on how to officially integrate loadout swapping as a proper "feature" for content that requires it for optimal success (Contest Raids/Dungeons) while making it as accessible as possible and removing "menu gameplay" - use the Z menu!
In Renegades, Bungie have developed a new piece of tech where (by default) pressing the Z key on PC or R3 on controller activates an alternate UI which...
- Allows you to select Renegade abilities in the Lawless Frontier
- Toggles the Shadow Push ability in the Equilibrium Dungeon
So, my idea is to make this tech a permanent feature in combination with the loadout system, simply press Z or some other keybind to make your grenade convert into Loadout#1, and your melee into Loadout#2, where pressing the respective input switches your gear to the assigned loadout, WITHOUT entering your inventory (see graphic).
Obviously, only 2 loadouts can be assigned, which I think is "balanced" in the sense that it encourages needing only 2, which in most cases is enough, and as I said it removes the "menu gameplay" aspect.
In your inventory though you would be able to assign which specific loadouts you want in those slots, as seen in the 2nd graphic (thanks @CourtProjects btw).
Personally I think it's an awesome idea that I hope would squash the debate by making it an official feature, but please let me know what you think!
P.S. with regards to what animation might play, I envision the guardian's left arm rising to present a keypad that the right arm tap-taps to switch to the new loadout! @Destiny2Team
