People like to conveniently only bring up the last game Darnold played with the Vikings to justify moving on from him. He made big time throws on multiple occasions that season. I just hope Murray can fill the void he left.
12/22/2024: Sam Darnold connects with Justin Jefferson on a perfect throw and catch to gain the lead late in Seattle. A Theo Jackson interception off Geno Smith would later seal a 27-24 Vikings win.
First of all, this isn’t true about Murray. He transferred after not being the full time starter at A&M.
And I love JJ’s competitive nature and will to compete. But there’s a difference between competing with a guy who clearly is inferior in talent and competing with Murray.
That’s because K1 has routinely had almost everything handed to him his entire career and JJ has a mindset to drive a stake into anyone who’s doubted him
Very (VERY) different players, but ask Cade McNamara how it was competing vs JJ
Only thing that’ll beat JJ will be politics
Also, the PWHL season is 30 games to the NHL's 82. They also play more playoff games in the NHL. This is a more nuanced conversation than just saying "pay them what they're worth" without understanding the difference between the two leagues.
I totally agree that women's professional athletes should be paid more, but we can't just continue to ignore the fact that the leagues they play in often generate no revenue. We can't pay them with money that isn't there.
the highest paid pwhl player makes about 12.5% of the salary of the lowest paid nhl players. PAY THEM WHAT THEY’RE WORTH!!!
literal olympic gold medalists should not be making 1/8 of what an nhl benchwarmer does.
oh, and no player’s salary should be below the poverty line.
Interesting: #Titans HC Robert Saleh said one of the first moves the team made in its nutrition overhaul was removing all seed oils from the building.
He says players have appreciated it.
