What happened to request collaborator access button in Shopify Admin? @ShopifyDevs @liam_at_shopify

I understand that was moved into the new Dev Dashboard but it is not working as smooth as before.

For example, here I tried to request access to a store who has our app installed.

I get the error saying that the account's email is same as our partner email but it's not possible 😢

Am I doing something wrong?

Taking over customer support this week.

Already got my favorite kind of message.

A merchant told us our backorder automation recovered lost revenue AND killed a whole category of support tickets when their PO is delayed!

That's how good inventory planning works, the wins compound.

Every couple of years I try Basecamp again. Same feeling every time :/

it’s not that Basecamp is bad, it’s that I’d need to change how we work to fit it rather than the other way around.

Opinionated software is a real design choice and I appreciate bold teams…

I just can never tell if I’m the wrong customer or if I haven’t committed enough to find out 🤷‍♂️

I agree and I believe the user behaviour is also shifting more towards to “talk to your data” experience rather than static dashboards.

The missing piece is proactive and selective alerts.

As you said the expectation is something like “Hey Claude, I want my weekly dashboards ready in Notion but email me immediately when CR drops by 10%”

While Claude is a dashboard wiz, it is not a proactive watchdog (yet)

@andyhelbig @contentful After $3bn valuation in 2021, I bet it was very difficult negotiations to still leave some stake for the late joined investors . Or maybe they just walked with a loss… anyways this is still a win for the ecosystem!

for the last 2-3 years mine told me the US was done. decline, danger, fentanyl and ICE everywhere, whole place falling apart. my family back home were genuinely scared for me when i said i was going (funny now 😅)

so i went.

spent a full month there. people were just as warm as when i studied there almost 20 years ago. both in east and west…

people of a country and their govts are not the same.

i love meeting people there and doing business with Americans.

and hey it works both ways!

the "lol Europe has no AC" stuff is the same noise pointed the other direction.

as much as i enjoy my time in the U.S., what european life offers is not comparable.

don't trust the bots.
go somewhere, meet someone, grab a coffee or a beer.

that's how you actually learn what a place is.

@dj_roots I drove all coastline of Iberian peninsula and I highly recommend switching A Coruña with Asturias region. Gijon is so nice and calm, you won’t regret it!
