Last night, Pakistani forces bombed the town of Gondan in Surab, Balochistan. At least 20 bodies have been recovered from the rubble, while many others remain injured and in need of urgent medical assistance.

The affected area is surrounded by Pakistani forces, restricting access for rescue teams, medical staff, ambulances, and journalists. Blocking humanitarian assistance and independent documentation compounds the grave human rights violations and demands immediate international attention.

I urge journalists, medical teams, humanitarian organizations, and people around the world to demand immediate access to the affected area, ensure medical assistance reaches survivors.

غمخوار حیات کا ریاستی ڈیتھ اسکواڈ کے ہاتھوں قتل اس ریاستی نفرت کا اظہار ہے جو نہ صرف بلوچ قوم بلکہ اس کی شناخت، زبان اور شعور کے خلاف پروان چڑھائی گئی ہے۔ براہوی زبان، جسے یونیسکو برسوں پہلے خطرے سے دوچار زبان قرار دے چکا ہے، اسے زندہ رکھنے اور اس کی ادبی و فکری روایت کو محفوظ رکھنے کے لیے غمخوار حیات جیسے ادیبوں نے اجتماعی جدوجہد کی۔ آج انہی آوازوں کو ڈیتھ اسکواڈز کے ذریعے خاموش کرنے کی کوشش بدترین درندگی اور وحشت ہے۔

ریاست کی بلوچ اساتذہ کو قتل کرنے کی پالیسی دہائیوں سے جاری ہے۔ کسی استاد یا ادیب کا قتل محض ایک فرد کو ختم کرنا نہیں ہوتا، بلکہ یہ علم، شعور اور ادب پر حملہ ہوتا ہے۔ ایسے زخم معاشروں کی یادداشت میں زندہ رہتے ہیں، اور استاد کے درس و تدریس اور ادیب کی علمی خدمات کے ذریعے آنے والی نسلوں تک منتقل ہوتے رہتے ہیں۔ یہی یادیں جبر کے خلاف نفرت اور مزاحمت کے احساس کو مزید گہرا کرتی ہیں۔

آج بھی اپنے استاد سر رزاق کی شہادت مجھے یہ احساس دلاتی ہے کہ یہ ریاست اور اس کی پالیسیاں کس حد تک انسان دشمن ہیں، جو محض اپنی انا اور طاقت کے تحفظ کے لیے ہمارے معاشرے کے باشعور اور باعلم افراد کو نشانہ بناتی ہیں۔

پروفیسر غمخوار حیات کو شہید کرکے شاید ریاست آج اپنے ڈیتھ اسکواڈز کو یہ داد دے رہی ہو کہ وہ غمخوار کے الفاظ خاموش کرا چکے ہیں، مگر حقی��ت یہ ہے کہ وہ انہیں تاریخ، شعور اور عوامی یادداشت سے مٹانے میں ناکام ہو چکے ہیں۔ ان کی علمی خدمات اور فکری جدوجہد سینکڑوں نہیں بلکہ ہزاروں لوگوں کے دلوں میں زندہ رہے گی اور ریاست کے خلاف صرف اور صرف نفرت پیدا ہوگا۔

Today’s horrific incident in Kuntani Gwadar once again exposes the brutal reality of life under militarization in Balochistan. Reports indicate that Pakistani security forces particularly the Coast Guards opened fire on Baloch labourers resulting in the martyrdom of dozens and leaving many others severely injured,it is a reflection of the deepening crisis across the entire coastal belt Balochistan where fear, militarization and bloodshed have turned the region into a burning landscape of repression. While the state markets Gwadar to the world as a futuristic economic corridor and a new Singapore for foreign investors and strategic powers, the indigenous Baloch inhabitants remain deprived of the most basic necessities of life even access to a single drop of clean water.

The irony of Gwadar is profoundly violent, a city transformed into a global hub for international projects, trade routes and geopolitical ambitions while its own people are pushed into hunger, displacement, surveillance and death. For the Baloch, Gwadar has effectively become a no go area within their own ancestral homeland. Checkpoints, military presence, enforced disappearances, targeted killings and restrictions on movement have created an atmosphere where the indigenous population is treated as a security threat rather than rightful inhabitants of the land.

This is the logic of colonial extraction where the land is valuable but the native population is seen as expendable. The state securitizes every inch of Gwadar not to protect the people, but to protect strategic and economic interests tied to international investments and regional power politics. Under the shadow of mega projects and militarized development, the Baloch are being systematically excluded from their own coast, their resources and their future.

What is happening in Gwadar today exposes the darker reality behind the language of development. Beneath the promises of prosperity lies a structure of occupation and necropolitics, where the state decides whose lives matter and whose suffering can be ignored for the sake of strategic interests. The burning coast of Balochistan is not only a humanitarian crisis,it is the consequence of turning an indigenous homeland into a militarized zone of extraction and control.

چھ ماہ سے وہ شدید تکلیف میں مبتلا تھیں۔ جیل حکام کو بارہا درخواستیں دیں کہ انہیں ڈاکٹر کو دکھایا جائے، مگر کوئی توجہ نہیں دی گئی۔ عدالت میں درخواست کے بعد معائنہ تو ہوا، مگر تجویز کردہ ٹیسٹ بھی وقت پر نہیں کروائے گئے۔ جب حالت بہت زیادہ خراب ہوئی تو انہیں ہسپتال منتقل کیا گیا، جہاں MRI رپورٹ میں ریڑھ کی ہڈی کے سنگین مسائل سامنے آئے (ڈسک کا ابھار، اور اندرونی چوٹ)۔ ڈاکٹروں نے آرام اور باقاعدہ علاج کی ہدایت کی ہے۔

لیکن افسوس کہ آج بھی نہ مکمل علاج فراہم کیا جا رہا ہے اور نہ ہی انہیں ضمانت دی جا رہی ہے۔ ایک سیاسی ورکر جس کا جرم صرف یہ ہے کہ اس نے انسانی حقوق اور انصاف کی بات کی، اس طرح بنیادی طبی سہولت سے محروم رکھنا کہاں کا انصاف ہے؟

یہ یاد رکھنا چاہیے کہ ایک عام قیدی کو بھی صحت کی سہولت فراہم کرنا ریاست کی ذمہ داری ہوتی ہے۔ میری بہن تو ایک سیاسی کارکن ہیں، کسی پرتشدد جرم میں ملوث نہیں۔ انہیں اس طرح علاج سے محروم رکھنا اور مسلسل قید میں رکھنا کھلی انسانی حقوق کی پامالی ہے۔

ایک اور نہایت سمجھدار اور منطقی آواز کو خاموش کر دیا گیا ہے۔ یہاں نہ تو BLA کی تعریف کی گئی ہے اور نہ ہی کسی ایسی تنظیم کی حمایت کی گئی ہے جسے ریاست نے دہشت گرد قرار دے کر پابندی عائد کی ہو۔ مسئلہ صرف یہ ہے کہ جب آپ اسٹیبلشمنٹ کی طے شدہ لائن پر نہیں چلتے، وہی لائن جسے انوار الحق کاکڑ اور سرفراز بگٹی نے پروان چڑھایا ہے تو آپ پر پابندی لگا دی جاتی ہے۔

یہ طرزِ عمل نہ صرف شرمناک ہے بلکہ خطرناک بھی۔ جب آپ کسی مسئلے کو سننے کے لی�� تیار ہی نہیں تو پھر اس کے حل کی بات کیسے کی جا سکتی ہے؟

Judge Afzal Majoka has no jurisdiction to convict Advocates @ImaanZHazir and @AdvHadiali as he is expressly barred from pronouncing final judgement under Section 526(8) Cr.P.C. till the final disposal of the transfer application which is pending before the Islamabad High Court.

We filed this Transfer Application on behalf of Imaan and Hadi on 05.12.2025 seeking transfer of the trial from the Court of Afzal Majoka. The Application is yet to be heard and decided.

It does not matter what the findings of the judge are. It does not matter what the merits or demerits of the evidence are. Nothing matters. This act of Judge Afzal Majoka is Coram non judice. It is not a judicial order, it is a nullity, not even worth the paper it is written on.

Imaan and Hadi do not stand convicted but this trial has proved to be sham beyond any doubt and has irreparably prejudiced Imaan and Hadi's right to fair trial and thus the trial should be considered vitiated.

Whether the Judge acted out of contempt, incompetence or under duress the express and mandatory command of law was ignored. No High Court or Supreme Court can defend this even after the 27th Amendment.

Imaan and Hadi have again won in exposing the regime. Duffers remain Duffers.

Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha were arrested today while going towards a courtroom. That fact alone should trouble anyone who still believes access to justice exists in Pakistan.

For Baloch, this scene is painfully familiar. We have watched our loved ones leave home to comply with the law and vanish before reaching it. We have stood outside courts being told there is “no information,” while knowing exactly who took them and why. What is happening to Imaan and Hadi today follows the same disregard for human dignity.

They were on their way to face trial. The state stopped them before they could arrive. The court then warned that their right to defend themselves would be taken away if they failed to appear.

Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha are being targeted for standing with the disappeared, for insisting that Baloch suffering is not a footnote, and for refusing to accept that silence is the price of survival. Their arrest is a warning to anyone who crosses the invisible line between observing injustice and naming it.

We reject this use of the courts as instruments of intimidation. We demand their immediate release and the full restoration of their legal rights. And we say this clearly: a system that blocks the road to court and then punishes people for not reaching it is not broken. It is working exactly as it was built to work.

Balochistan has been living inside that truth for a long time. Now those who spoke for us are being made to walk through it.

آئی ایس پی آر کی پریس کانفرنس میں جبری گمشدگیوں کے متاثرین اور ان کے حق میں آواز اٹھانے والے انسانی حقوق کے کارکنان کا میڈیا ٹرائل دراصل بلوچستان میں جاری ریاستی جبر اور بلوچ نسل کشی کی پالیسی کو جواز فراہم کرنے کی ایک منظم کوشش ہے۔

گزشتہ دنوں ڈی جی آئی ایس پی آر کی پریس کانفرنس ایک بار پھر اس تلخ حقیقت کی خود تصدیق بن کر سامنے آئی ہے کہ بلوچستان میں ریاستی جبر بدستور جاری ہے، اور ریاستی ادارے جبری گمشدگیوں اور ماورائے عدالت قتل جیسے سنگین جرائم کو مختلف اصطلاحات اور بیانیوں کے ذریعے جائز ثابت کرنے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں۔

اس پریس کانفرنس میں ان سیاسی و انسانی حقوق کی تنظیموں اور کارکنان کو نشانہ بنایا گیا جو مسلسل ریاستی تشدد، گرفتاریوں، ایف آئی آرز اور دھمکیوں کے باوجود جبری گمشدگیوں اور ریاستی جبر کے خلاف آواز بلند کر رہے ہیں۔ پریس کانفرنس میں نہ کوئی نیا مؤقف پیش کیا گیا اور نہ ہی کوئی قابلِ اعتبار وضاحت فراہم کی گئی، بلکہ ایک پرانا، فرسودہ اور اسکرپٹڈ بیانیہ دہرایا گیا جس کا واحد مقصد حقائق سے توجہ ہٹانا اور ریاستی جبر کو درست ثابت کرنا تھا۔

خصوص��ً بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی اور اس کی رہنما ڈاکٹر ماہ رنگ بلوچ کے خلاف جاری پروپیگنڈا اسی ریاستی پالیسی کا تسلسل ہے جو گزشتہ کئی ماہ سے پوری شدت کے ساتھ جاری ہے۔ متعدد پریس کانفرنسز میں بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی اور اس کی قیادت پر یکساں، بے بنیاد اور جھوٹے الزامات عائد کیے گئے، مگر آج تک ڈی جی آئی ایس پی آر ان میں سے ایک بھی الزام ثابت کرنے میں ناکام رہا ہے۔ یہ الزامات محض بہتان تراشی اور ریاستی جبر کے خلاف اٹھنے والی آوازوں کو خاموش کرانے کی کوشش کے سوا کچھ نہیں۔

افسوسناک امر یہ ہے کہ ان الزامات کے دوران موجود صحافی نہ سوال اٹھاتے نظر آئے اور نہ ہی سچ جاننے کی سنجیدہ کوشش کی گئی۔ یوں محسوس ہوا کہ ڈی جی آئی ایس پی آر کی پریس کانفرنس میں صحافت کا کردار عملاً مفلوج ہو چکا ہے، جہاں بندوق کے سائے میں بیٹھے صحافی منطقی اور تنقیدی سوال پوچھنے سے قاصر دکھائی دیے۔

اسی طرزِ فکر کا تسلسل کوئٹہ میں چیف سیکریٹری کی پریس کانفرنس میں بھی دیکھا گیا، جہاں ڈی جی آئی ایس پی آر کے بیانیے کو من و عن اپناتے ہوئے جبری گمشدگیوں کو مختلف طریقوں سے جواز فراہم کیا گیا۔ بغیر کسی ثبوت اور عدالتی کارروائی کے جبری گمشدگی کے شکار افراد کو دہشت گرد قرار دیا گیا۔ اگر کوئی شخص واقعی دہشت گرد ہے تو اسے قانونی طریقے سے گرفتار کر کے عدالتوں میں پیش کیوں نہیں کیا جاتا؟ برسوں تک جبری گمشدگی کے بعد اس کی مسخ شدہ لاش کیوں برآمد ہوتی ہے؟ اگر کسی کے خلاف شواہد موجود ہیں تو وہ عدالت میں کیوں پیش نہیں کیے جاتے؟

حقیقت یہ ہے کہ بلوچستان میں روزانہ کی بنیاد پر لوگوں کو جبری طور پر لاپتہ کیا جا رہا ہے۔ صرف رواں سال میں دو ہزار سے زائد افراد کو جبری گمشدگی کا نشانہ بنایا گیا ہے۔ کوئی ایسا گھر نہیں بچا جہاں سے کسی نہ کسی فرد کو زبردستی لاپتہ نہ کیا گیا ہو۔

بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی، وکلا، انسانی حقوق کے ادارے اور سول سوسائٹی گزشتہ کئی برسوں سے متفقہ طور پر اس مؤقف پر قائم ہیں کہ جبری گمشدگی کسی بھی صورت قابلِ قبول نہیں۔ جبری گمشدگی نہ صرف پاکستان کے آئین بلکہ اقوام متحدہ کے چارٹر کے تحت بھی ایک سنگین جرم ہے۔ ان پریس کانفرنسز میں جبری گمشدگی کے متاثرین اور ان کے حق میں آواز اٹھانے والوں کا میڈیا ٹرائل دراصل اسی مقصد کے تحت کیا جاتا ہے کہ ان آوازوں کو دبایا جائے، خوف کا ماحول پیدا کیا جائے، جبری گمشدگیوں میں مزید تیزی لائی جائے اور پوری بلوچ سماج کو مفلوج کر دیا جائے تاکہ کوئی بھی ریاستی جبر کے خلاف بولنے کی جرات نہ کر سکے۔

ہم، بطور ایک سیاسی تنظیم، جبری گمشدگیوں سمیت بلوچ نسل کشی کے ہر پہلو کے خلاف اپنی آواز بلند کرتے رہیں گے۔ کوئی بھی شخص چاہے ایک دن کے لیے ہی کیوں نہ جبری طور پر لاپتہ کیا جائے، جب تک اسے عدالت میں پیش نہیں کیا جاتا، ہم اس کا مقدمہ دنیا کے سامنے اٹھاتے رہیں گے۔ جب تک ملک کی عدالتیں کسی شخص کو مجرم یا دہشت گرد قرار نہ دیں، کسی بھی ادارے کو بندوق کے زور پر ایسا لیبل لگانے کا کوئی حق حاصل نہیں۔

یہ پریس کانفرنسز اور میڈیا ٹرائل ہمیں ریاستی جبر کے خلاف آواز اٹھانے سے ہرگز نہیں روک سکتے۔ اس کے برعکس، ہم مزید منظم، مضبوط اور مؤثر انداز میں جبری گمشدگیوں اور ریاستی جبر کے خلاف اپنی جدوجہد جاری رکھیں گے۔
