Fascinated by the Internet of Value. Participant of XRP Ledger, Songbird & Flare Networks and Gala node operator. Finance & Gov’t should be decentralized. 🇺🇸
To be clear: @FlareNetworks is a great contributor to the XRP ecosystem.
I am glad to see flare grow, build novel primitives such as confidential compute, meaningful partnerships such as @Firelightfi & continuing to grow XRP DeFi.
Would I prefer to see *all* activity native on XRPL? Of course.. I work for ripple & have the job of growing the XRP/L ecosystem. However, the work they do is undoubtedly positive and aligned with XRP.
Wishing them success & continued growth in their business!
EXCLUSIVE: Washington architects, builders, and contractors are sounding the alarm: Stop strangling the golden goose.
They say the new 9.9% “millionaire’s tax” is already driving high earners to relocate, delay projects, or cancel them altogether—taking jobs, investment, and tax revenue with them.
Their warning to Gov. Ferguson, Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson, and lawmakers: You can’t keep treating the people who fund projects and employ thousands of Washington workers as an endless ATM.
“If [the golden goose] is killed, the eggs stop.”
@ascelan @Ripple It *can't* be dirt cheap. That doesn't make any sense. If XRP costs $1, they'd need a million XRP which would cost $1 million. If XRP cost a million dollars, they'd need one XRP which would, again, cost $1 million. 1/2
@DHSgov@zerohedge I really don’t know why anyone would have an issue with this. I worked overseas for over 10 years. You always knew when your visa expired. When I was in Pakistan, you had to do visa runs; depart the country and fly back in to reset your visa.
67 million Americans hold crypto. 232,000 American jobs are supported by the industry. The @NatCryptoAssoc built two maps so you can see the data by state and district.

No August doldrums in DC this week! It was great to join the inaugural @CFTC Innovation Advisory Committee (a group I've called "the Olympic roster of crypto.") But for a “crypto” gathering, there were a LOT of TradFi players in the room like @NASDAQ, @CMEGroup, @CBOE, @OptionsClearing, @NYSE, @The_DTCC (alphabet soup!)
Everyone was in agreement. Rules written for a different era aren’t good enough. Not for consumers. Not for business. Not for innovation.
I made this case in an open letter to Congress back in 2019. Seven years later, we STILL need clear rules…. Thanks to the Trump administration, appointees like @ChairmanSelig, and a myriad of bold leaders in Congress, we’ve never been closer.

Sounds like clarity is coming either way:
1. 60+ votes in the Senate on September 15th
2. Or a new set of rules from the CFTC and SEC on September 16th
