Some areas of the NHS does not like references to abuse or staff as abusers .
They place more focus on terminology and protecting reputation than they do on investigating or reducing incidences of abuse.
The defensive culture inhibits improvement and patient safety.
“If Coffey herself can’t be bothered to take that action, even knowing of press interest, then what does that say about the priority given to disability rights within her office? And within DWP as a whole?"
Doctors don’t have a right to do procedures that have no medical benefit without explicit consent it is aggravated assault. You can close the incision and do nothing. You don’t find something to remove if there’s nothing there
Sadly technology let us down tonight and after many attempts we had to postpone our Instagram Live with the lovely @Dianedanz
We've rescheduled to Tuesday 21st July, 3pm.
Hope you can join us!
@MedicineGovSte @sillyoldjen@ianbirrell Thank you for your kind comments Steve. I am also privileged to know you.
As a member of HSIB's Expert Advisory Group all professionals were made fully aware of Robbie's case. They couldn't have cared less!
My success as a member was Recommendation 13. Sadly, it's been ignored!
A prayer request for my sons please. My eldest is turning 13 on the 5th August and his satanist father is joking about my son becoming a satanist. Please pray.
@willcpowell@ianbirrell Am grateful to you Will for clarification of this specific point. Exactly who is responsible for an NHS Trusts DoC, if not those employed within it?
@ianbirrell Re your DM article
"the statutory imposition in 2014 of a ‘duty of candour’ requiring every healthcare professional to be open & honest with patients (or their carers or families) when something goes wrong with their treatment."
NB: There is no individual Legal DoC!
@jones_celia@SherryT89460485 Outside & above the law. Am horrified at the very notion that police forces everywhere are pressured into playing down avoidable deaths and patient harm within the aegis of NHS. Surely this cannot be true?
@SherryT89460485 The NHS is wonderful when it all goes right. But when it goes wrong its deadly . They never admit they are wrong. And crush the complainants when all they want is an apology and an explanation. Instead its a delay deny defend. Believe me I was part of the NHS.. truly shocked.
