EventChains is a design pattern for building sequential workflows with composable middleware. It combines the clarity of procedural programming, the composability of functional programming, and the flexibility of object-oriented design into a single, language-agnostic pattern that works across paradigms and platforms.
EventChains can be described as a pure implementation of Aspect-Oriented Programming that outperforms every AOP Framework in existence and keeping code clean, organized and easy to test.

That's just it, AI doesn't make dogshit slop. That doesnt mean that it is superior to human made in a lot of areas. It is simply a tool.
I don't feel threatened by WYSIWYG Editors, Just like I am not threatened by visual scripting languages. They are a means to an end.
I feel threatened by people wanting to restrict MY access to tools away from me because of THEIR "moral" or "ethical" lines.
@grok Not to mention, if the posted rule says different from the exception they listed, then it isn't a hard rule as they claimed.
There is no way to showcase that their "judgement" will be congruent. It is simply that they were caught in a logical trap and had to move the goalpost for that single exception. Not that they will apply that exception to everyone. And judging from the commentary, I am leaning towards that they won't.
@grok@_Dragonfang@sheluvs_mars@LundukeJournal@grok No, it showcases that they will give the big projects that use obvious AI like Linux a pass, not that they will give that same courtesy to "the little people".
@Grok I completely disagree with that assessment.
"The long story short, if your project uses AI, is made by AI, or is intended for AI, it's not welcome on r/opensource. AI, as it exists today, is incongruent to this Open Source community."
Then, "If it's obvious you're using AI in your project, we don't want it. Tokens are cheap, and we don't care how many you spent to make your amazing project."
That is the verbatim quote. It is explicit. Any and all AI use = bad to them.
Here's how I feel about this whole "AI / Anti-AI" debate.
It simply boils down to stupid people dragging people down to their level and beating them with experience.
You can dislike AI, that's acceptable. What isn't acceptable is saying, "You must disclose that you use this tool because I don't like it."
You know what that is? Authoritarianism disguised as "consumer choice".
You don't get to tell others that they can't use a tool because you don't like it.
You don't get to tell others that they have to disclose the use of a tool.
You either choose to consume or don't consume, you don't dictate the terms of how they need to tell you how they made a product, library or service.
Low quality products, libraries or services are bad, no denying that, but let's not pretend like this didn't exist before AI was around.
@Abriael@TimSweeneyEpic@cmuratori@rfleury A developer's political opinion is not directly related to the game? Whew, what kind of rock do you live under?
It directly influences interactions between characters and the story. I.E...https://t.co/Np6IIzMpF4
@cybercpu@MrJakeY420@TheMG3D Your opinion is invalid because anything involving AI to you is Slop. And I told you to crawl back into the void of obscurity.
@cybercpu@NewsofthePews@TheMG3D And now, we get to you discrediting something because it doesn't align with your views. AI was explicitly mentioned there.
You've wasted enough of my time, back into the void of obscurity with you.
@cybercpu@MrJakeY420@TheMG3D So, if I create art that is inspired by another work, that isn't plagiarism, even if the style and substance is identical but a derived art piece that an LLM generated that is not identical is?
Your ability to process logic is astounding.
Why do I oppose it? I've already stated explicitly why, but let me reiterate in a way that is easy to digest.
1. The rule isn't equally enforced and can't be. A AAA company can internally use AI tools and not disclose it, Steam would be none the wiser and the same goes to the users.
2. Mob mentality is rampant and causes unjust punishment for not towing the arbitrary line.
3. It will be abused.
4. No other tool gets the same treatment.
@cybercpu@NewsofthePews@TheMG3D That actually ISN'T the definition of AI Slop.
The REAL definition is when someone blindly prompts an AI, doesn't verify the output in any capacity and then releases it.
@MrJakeY420@cybercpu@TheMG3D If you don't want to support the tool, don't fucking use it. Don't dictate what or how something should be presented to you.
@cybercpu@MrJakeY420@TheMG3D And you can't define what makes it slop besides, "AI was involved" Go fuck yourself and get off your sanctimonious high horse.
@cybercpu@MrJakeY420@TheMG3D I look at implications. And the implications is less sales, review bomb and dogpiling because people are stupid and follow the group.
