@Barneteye@BarnetCouncil Another excellent blog Roger. In Westminster they have 'Air Marshals' in Barnet we have NSL! NSL do not police schools where school-run vehicle idling should be prosecuted! There are no cycle lanes in Barnet! Roads are congested yet all they do is approve more flats = more cars!
Barnet Council’s L.I.P. makes it clear they are not really interested in reducing vehicular traffic in the Borough. Unsurprising pollution is so high when they only pay lip service to reducing it.
World class infrastructure from @BarnetCouncil - no other cycling signs around (other than at toucan crossing). What is this supposed to mean? @bollocksinfra
@filosofical_140 @jonny_smash @BarnetGreens Thanks for the invite - we’re not quite ready for public presentations yet but will be in touch when we are!
We just make it about moving people. We wish to focus on healthy, non polluting options for short journeys.
People who choose to drive currently command ~80-90% of street space and ~99.5% of budgets so I don’t think we need to worry about them too much ...🤔
@Niall_Boylan A cyclist can find a driver annoying but yet never be in a position to endanger that driver's life through bullying, aggression, carelessness, or indifference.
Drivers who are annoyed by cyclists have the power of life and death over them.
🚶♀️ Did you know that people walking spend 40 per cent more each month in their local shops than car drivers?

And while they’re at it, maybe @BarnetCouncil could repair the surface of the Dollis Valley Greenwalk behind the Dollis Valley Estate so it poses less of a risk to all users?
