Possession | Third Player Runs | Finishing

📌 Work on third-man runs to create scoring chances.

🧱Set-Up:

✔️ Using half of the centre circle, approx 16 by 12 space (blue shaded zone).

✔️ Position a pair of mini goals (red) on either side of the playing area.

✔️ Place a back 4 of mannequins spread across the width of the box.

👕Teams: 🔴’s vs ⚫️’s plus 🟢GK 

🧩How to Play:

➡️ ⚫️s play 6v2 possession in the centre circle. They connect 3 passes, then look to play into the target player positioned between the two central mannequins.

➡️ 2 x ⚫️’s break out of the central box, one of them receives a set pass off the target player, and one of them becomes a third man run to the goal.

➡️ One of the waiting 🔴’s can defend the third man combination.

➡️ If the 🔴’s win the ball in the setup zone, they score in either red mini goal.

➡️ If the 🔴’s win the ball in the final third, they pass the ball off any mannequin to end the duel.

➡️ The ⚫️’s rotate positions, the shooter becomes the next setter, the setter and the player who sets up the final shot return to the possession box.

➡️ The coach (C) serves a new ball as soon as one ball leaves the possession area.

🚧 Constraints:

🏆Reward: Keep score between players finishes vs blocks

👨‍🏫 Review: The quality of the final pass and the type of finish the attacker uses.

🚫 Restriction: Attacker only has three touches to score once they enter the final third.
