Meet @RibbitCapital.

They invested $5M in Coinbase in 2013 with other funds at a $20M valuation. $COIN is now at a $49B market cap.

They invested $13M in Robinhood in 2014 with other funds at a $62M valuation. $HOOD is now at a $97B market cap.

They invested $68M in Lighter in 2025 with other funds at a $1.5B valuation. $LIT is now at a $3.5B FDV.

In all of these cases, Ribbit was one of the investors. But in the case of Entropy, they are the lead, investing a total of $54M into this perp DEX: $14M in cash and a $40M HYPE stake to build both improved and entirely new markets, the first of which are live on Hyperliquid today.

Could a serious player finally be emerging that can compete with TradeXYZ?

We previously saw a similar case with Tether investing in Dreamcash, which later shut down its HIP-3 product, Cash Markets, because they couldn't compete with TradeXYZ.
