Katsina, Borno etc. These are some of the largest and oldest states in Nigeria yet they never considered it worthy to embark on such projects. The north needs to realize that it's sitting on a time bomb if nothing is done to catch up as the world is moving

With 5 states, yet the whole of the NE with 6 states have only 3 medical schools whereas the SE with five states and far less population has 8 medical schools. In summary there are a total of 31 medical schools in the south and 13 in the north (including FCT)

By extension the future of it's health sector. Whereas the entire 19 states of the north including the fct (Abuja) has only 13 medical schools. The south south region with 6 states have 12. With Borno alone estimated to be larger than the entire SE

The recent tweets about the menace of almajiris up north triggered me to share this tweet. Looking at the list of accredited medical schools on the website of the medical and dental council of Nigeria brings to fore once more the state of education up north.
