This is the first time that such a large image has allowed us to capture so many Perseus galaxies in such a high level of detail.
Many of these faint galaxies were previously unseen.
Some of them are so distant that their light has taken 10 billion years to reach us.
This observation of the Milky Way with high-energy neutrinos will bring us closer to finding specific sources within the galaxy.
Once again, neutrinos have given us a new lens with which to observe the obscure universe.
News: After 15 years of carefully observing stars called #pulsars throughout our galaxy, the @NANOGrav collaboration has “heard” the perpetual chorus of #GravitationalWaves rippling through our universe. Read more about this groundbreaking discovery here: https://t.co/KSzPNXoA8v
Still in awe that I got to lead the Young Supernova Experiment First Data Release, an immense multi-institutional effort from ~100 scientists over 2.5 years! This data will help usher in the next age of supernova science💥 @NCSAatIllinois@AstroIllinois

I just wanted to take a minute to say that to anyone with a PhD, or anyone starting a PhD, you should be so proud of yourself and how far you’ve come.
You contribute to your field like nobody else could, and your contribution is important.
