Umm... we are so happy that one of the stars of our documentary won the 2021 Bat World Cup but ashamed that this account did not participate. Our account manager was busy waging war against a very good bat whose only offense was that it wasn't a hoary bat.

[Give Bats A Break @GiveBatsABreak]

Yeah, I can’t math when I’m excited and so it’s actually a 0.6% gap and nearly 17 votes

Please forgive me 😅

I LOVE THIS COMPETITION AND ALL OF YOU SPECIAL PEOPLE THAT MAKE IT SO MUCH FUN

@joanna_haddock Thanks, Joanna! We're glad you liked it.

Also, if you don't love bats, watch our short documentary. We think you might change your mind about them. If not, we'll keep trying until you do. We refuse to give up on you.

@riskindan @LisaLaFlammeCTV @CTVNationalNews Nice work! Hit us up if you ever want to collaborate on a project. We have plans to make more bat videos... probably indefinitely.

[Dan Riskin @riskindan]

After ~20 years studying bats full-time, I left academics for sci-comm. "Maybe I'll be able to help bats" I hoped.

This week I got to preach the bat gospel to >1 million Canadians. It was a dream come true. Thanks, @LisaLaFlammeCTV and @CTVNationalNews!

Check out this amazing video on the bats of Alberta. It's definitely worth the watch!

[TheBatsofAlberta @BatsofABdoc]

@PapaJWatson Thanks for sharing. This is exactly what we hoped this documentary would be used for. We know that bats are awesome, and we wanted to give everyone the chance to see that for themselves.

[TheBatsofAlberta @BatsofABdoc]

Thanks! We had a blast filming this, and we were fortunate to get some great footage from some WCS projects that we tagged along on.

Take just 20 minutes out of your life to watch this amazing documentary just released titled #Bats of Alberta by film maker Jason Headley. It is so well done, and tells a really #important story. Listen! Share! Love! #lovebats #storyhive #somuchtolearn

@colbycosh Alberta does have some high-quality bats. Not sure that @albertabats has a page on what rabies feels like, but there is definitely advice on what to do if you have bare skin contact with a bat. Fortunately, the rate of rabies in the free-flying population is likely less than 1%.

An excellent short video on the #Bats of #Alberta and some of the threats they face (as do bats everywhere). I highly recommend this video. https://t.co/UK6diBMrqU

The Bats of Alberta documentary is finally out. @JasonHeadley put a ton of work into making this short documentary, and Brent Bates made some awesome animations (https://t.co/KmnHbFXmoi). It was a blast to work on this project with Jason. @STORYHIVE @TELUS

It's been way too long since we posted something, but today, we've got something we think you'll like. Yesterday was the release of our documentary, and we would've posted this then if we weren't focused on netting bats last night. https://t.co/tESmgQK8ES

[Mike Kelly @enviscimike]

The bats are positioned and are now in the freezer awaiting the freeze drier. These bats were all found dead 😥 but they'll be put to good use at outreach events. We don't buy preserved bats because many of the bats available for purchase were killed for that purpose.

[TheBatsofAlberta @BatsofABdoc]

@albertabats We've been pretty quite on Twitter for a while now. Jason has been hard at work trying to cut down several hours of footage to 20 minutes.
