@izedzedy I paid my dues to join the BCNDP and have never received any communication, I never received notice of local nominations... All because I joined around a certain time when a certain person was running against our generic white middle-aged centrist premier.
Never got money back.
Really @GraceALore
Do you want no snowbirds or seasonal people to share their homes?
Not everyone has a government job, pension, and bikes on million dollar bike lanes every day. With a set number of holidays 4x a year..
Starting to realize how much tunnel vision BCNDP has.
@EconomyApp How the shit are they only paying half a billion in taxes? That's a lower tax rate than I pay and I earn below minimum wage. Fuck mega corporations.
@pspindloe You could be on a train though. You know, two days a week, and you'd better like being 7 hours behind schedule on a train from the literal 1950s that goes 20km/h.
@DaveThompsonVIC So literal NIMBYism? We can "support" the idea all we want but we know the city will give them "options" that are unrealistic, controlling, and not truly a real choice for anyone who is unhoused because of prohibitive rules around hours and belongings.
@TerryMartinNSV@Dave_Eby@bchydro Sort of like how giant cars that weigh three times as much as anything else on the road and have a wider wheelbase as well as somehow a "gentler way to move around" according to some commenters here.
Hey @JohnsonStBRDG what's your thought on 5000lb trucks with 3500lb of battery and zero visibility being a "gentler way of moving around the world" lol
@Dave_Eby@bchydro Electric vehicles have 1 percent as many moving parts as traditional vehicles. Growing pains aside they are a bright star in our quest for a gentler way of moving around the world. And they don't have any emissions controls!(or fanbelts, coolant, rads, injectors, fuel pumps..)
