@robinwgrime @SpaceX This whole trip was prob 10-15 mins, Earth spins 1 degrees during that but also the rocket already spins with earth at start and returns to the same spot. Spin you would only see from orbit when objects are faster then the Earth. Real spin you would only see from polar orbits.

@efcae543091748e @SpaceX @Space_Station No. The atmosphere is thick near the ground. F9 actually has to throttle down during max Q to avoid too high pressure. If you would start at a higher speed on the ground level it would be worse. Also transition between horizontal and vertical would put stress on the payload.

@elonmusk @spideycyp_155 So the issue as I see it is everyone wants a quick fix here. If the root causes are not handled it will only be like WW I that just triggered the second. Also if you give the Russians anything what stops them to want more and just keep threatening the world with nukes?

@elonmusk First one is pretty hard as many fled those areas and often not the Russia-friendly people.
The fourth is also hard as why would they give up their right as a country to choose alliances? Also their security would have to be ensured much better then the Budapest agreement did.

I have those on mine all the time against sea spray and image quality is not affected. If it's just debris it would protect against it. Also Sigma service might be able to change the front lens.
