The Missing Piece in Cardiovascular Prevention: #LiverHealth!

Our ELPA team – President Marko Korenjak Korenjak, Veronika Všetíčková (EU Head Affairs), and Beatrice Credi (Head of Brussels Office) – had an inspiring meeting with EU Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi to push for stronger support for liver patients across Europe.

We delivered and highlighted the European Policy Position Paper on #MASLD, emphasizing why #fattyliverdisease is the missing puzzle in cardiovascular prevention. From viral #hepatitis to #livercancer, and #lipid disorders and hypertension – both with strong scientific evidence linked to liver health, it’s clear: integrated #liver and #Heart/#Cnacer health strategies save lives. 💪

A huge thank you to Commissioner Várhelyi for recognizing the vital role of liver health in prevention and care. #EuropeanLiverScreeningWeek reminded us that #earlydetection and #proactive care are key, and together, we will make liver health a true European priority.
