THE EQUITABLE ACCESS TO LAND BILL

The Freedom Front Plus (@VFPlus) has reported that on Wednesday, the Department of Land Reform and Rural Development announced plans to introduce a new bill in 2025 aimed at aligning land ownership with South Africa's racial demographics.

The timeline for this legislation has already been set, with the cabinet scheduled to review it in March.

Whynand Boshoff, the chief spokesperson for FF Plus, commented that this bill reflects the ANC's long-term goal to finalize what they call the 'unfinished liberation struggle.'

The recently signed Expropriation Act by President Cyril Ramaphosa is linked to this new racial bill, serving as a tool for the state to acquire land.

Boshoff added that this legislation isn't merely about accelerating land reform—it's a calculated move against white landowners. The ANC is evidently rushing to counter the MK Party's pressure.

The FF Plus asserts that neither the government nor the responsible portfolio committee hides the fact that the bill explicitly targets white landowners.
