A Manhattan NYPD sergeant was indicted on Tuesday for allegedly stealing more than $132,000 in pay for overtime she never worked, prosecutors said Tuesday.
Rampaul, a 20-year veteran of the department who had worked in the NYPD Photo Unit, stands accused of grossly overestimating the number of hours she had spent on duty over several years.
According to court documents, between Sept. 30, 2022, and Nov. 21, 2024, Rampaul claimed to have worked approximately 1,680 hours on standard and overtime tours she did not actually attend.
Rampaul allegedly submitted payroll records and overtime slips for hours she never worked, resulting in $132,366.85 in unearned pay, prosecutors said.

Sheepshead Brooklyn Shelter Kept Quiet While Security Tries to Silence Filming.
Just filmed outside a Brooklyn migrant shelter that’s now operating as a DHS shelter — and somehow there’s been almost zero coverage on it. No headlines, no outrage, nothing. Meanwhile, this location and at least four other shelters in the area have been completely ignored — by the media, by activists, and even by residents.
What makes it even crazier? This district is represented by a Republican council member — you’d think this would be one of the loudest areas in the city speaking out. Instead, everything’s been kept low-key and under the radar.
While I was filming from a public sidewalk, security guards came up trying to tell me I couldn’t record. Let’s be clear — that’s not true. Filming in public is 100% legal, and this kind of intimidation has become a pattern at these shelters.
No coverage. No transparency. And now they don’t even want you to see what’s going on outside.

BREAKING: Republican Senator Kennedy just blamed Trump the government shutdown!
"The Democrats have offered to open up everything but ICE. Ted Cruz and I said, ‘OK let’s accept their offer…’ Senator Thune submitted that to President Trump. As is his right, [Trump] said ‘No! No deals with the Democrats.’ It would have worked. We could have had TSA paid by the end of the week but the President said ‘no deal.’”
This is the DONALD TRUMP SHUTDOWN!
Even Republicans are acknowledging it.

Manhattan: Ludlow St & Stanton St, a disorderly group caused a chaotic scene last week Saturday on Ludlow Street in the Lower East Side, showing blatant disregard for public order and police authority. At one point, a female climbed onto the hood of a marked @NYPD9Pct vehicle and began twerking, further escalating the situation.
Officers on scene issued multiple clear commands for her to get off the police car, but she initially refused to comply. Instead of de-escalating, her actions drew more attention from the unruly crowd. She was ultimately pulled off the vehicle by her friends.

Brooklyn: Conklin Avenue & Rockaway Parkway, a near fight broke out after a @FedEx driver double-parked on a one-way street while organizing packages in the back of the truck, blocking the lane and causing traffic to stack up with no way for cars to pass.
As the driver sorted through boxes in the cargo area, a frustrated motorist approached the truck and shoved a pile of packages, causing the stack to collapse onto the ground.
Tensions quickly escalated between the driver and the motorist, but a full fight was avoided when pedestrians stepped in and restrained both parties.

NEW: A prison guard for Jeffrey Epstein Googled him just minutes before he was found deceased and made a "mysterious" $5,000 cash deposit 10 days before Epstein's death, according to the New York Post.
Tova Noel was previously accused of falsifying records. Her charges were later dropped.
According to the New York Post, Noel made multiple suspicious Google searches less than an hour before Epstein was found deceased.
"Noel googled 'latest on Epstein in jail' at 5:42 a.m. and then again at 5:52 a.m. — less than 40 minutes before her colleague, correctional officer Michael Thomas, found the disgraced financier dead in his cell by hanging at 6:30 a.m.," the New York Post reports.
The outlet also reports that Chase Bank had "flagged cash deposits in Noel’s bank account in a 'suspicious activity report' to the FBI in November 2019."
One deposit was for $5,000 on July 30, 2019. Epstein was found deceased on August 10, 2019.
