I did it back in grade 9 at a secular public school (as secular as a ca. 1990 Ontario HS could be).
How can they possibly teach that poem without the Bible? It’s biblical from the first stanza.

They never spoke to us kids like we were dumb. We were expected to understand. It was a high bar. Complex ideas, interesting conversations and the constant refrain “only boring people get bored.”
When we didn’t understand, they explained.

@scrowder 1. The US counts only coroner reported deaths that are actual hyperthermia.
2. Europe counts almost every heart attack as a heat related death if the temp is above 80. If you die and it’s hot outside in Europe - heat death.
It’s climate change propaganda. You should know that.

I teach fitness as a volunteer.
We never use restaurants or takeout.
Today it’s ideal gas law calculations, Ancient Rome essay, fajitas, fitness class and I’ll probably make a coconut cream pie for my family.

Anyone who knows anything about IQ disparities knows that on average there is little difference between sexes. However, the distribution IS different and significantly so.
Women cluster in the middle, whereas men tend to populate both low and high ends.

Even here in central ON where we regularly get weeks of sub zero temps (in F, months if you’re using C) and a solid 9’ of snow in the winter.

Their brains are running on sugar and they can’t imagine not being half starving all the time.
It’s an adjustment but I was amazed at how quickly the adjustment kicks in.
