For the Karens in this thread saying that he “should have taken his vehicle”, please just sit down. You’re actually pissing me off, which is hard to do. As a prior Army MP myself, I can tell you that if he had taken his car, he would have been stuck. Pay attention to how many vehicles pull out in front of him while he’s running due to their panic. He made the wisest decision by deciding to run on foot. Taking his vehicle would have been the cowardly and slow way to go. He was courageous and had amazing foresight in a horrific situation.
