1. I don’t often tweet about my personal life, but on 1st November, my mum Jane was hit by a large vehicle as a pedestrian in St. Louis, USA. She suffered a severe brain injury & remains in a coma in hospital.

@SadiqKhan If you want to encourage cycling, reducing bike thefts would be a great place to start. 2 bikes stolen in < a year from a locked garage, secured by kryptonite locks (that were left behind), and covered by cctv, and all I get from the police is a crime reference # 👍🏽

I can't believe the tradition of paying a thousand dollars or more to be a bridesmaid has persisted when it works for almost no one. You're not supposed to ask friends to help you move but you can ask them to buy an expensive dress and take 2 vacations and cover your costs??
