@Jolomoco@GeecheeKid This has been common in the US for years. Depending on the security, it’s usually pretty easy to just crush an empty bottle and walk in with it in your pocket. This policy will not be policed or enforced beyond the ticketing gates. Stupid, yes. But easily beaten.
@DoBetter_@ThoughtfulSaint I get your point. I guess we can agree that it’s not the ultimate metric, but it is certainly a significant metric. Perhaps even penultimate.
@DoBetter_@ThoughtfulSaint While I admit this claim is plausible, it is purely anecdotal. I couldn’t find any major research done on this metric. Best estimates I could find are taken from a VERY small pool and still only estimate that at most 10% fall into this bucket.
@HendrickD82 Literally not a single one of us holding an arm. Grabbing and pushing outfield players? Sure. Grabbing and holding the keepers body? Sure. Holding arms? One video. And the goal was disallowed by VAR.
@stackerco Your complaint I think is more of an indictment of members than of the process of excommunication. The church has been pretty lenient with its members in the past decade with a few notable exceptions. That said I would never alienate a close friend over excommunication.
@CapturingChrist@KelseaJ112 Luke Hansen. Jacob Hansen. Cade and Baylor from ‘All Those In Favor’. Robert Boylan. Don Bradley. I mean honestly you can’t have reached out to very many if you’re ’still looking’
@Herberts_Burner@artMISSIONARY@MilkToastOnRye You didn’t read it then. He totally cedes that ancient Israel was Henotheist and it’s not really up for debate. It’s just unclear if the text identifies El and Yahweh as separate Gods or the same with Yahweh as the high sovereign God.
@Herberts_Burner@artMISSIONARY@MilkToastOnRye Again, the oldest transcripts that we have do not demonstrate this at all. They in fact refer clearly to a council of Gods.

Here’s Michael Heiser stating that your interpretation is in fact likely incorrect and a later scribal alteration to the text.
@Herberts_Burner@artMISSIONARY@MilkToastOnRye If you don’t believe me, do a little digging. I don’t think the nicene church fathers were crazy to conclude the father was not embodied, but to claim the Bible totally eliminates the possibility is simply your interpretation. You have to presuppose it to reach that conclusion.
@Herberts_Burner@artMISSIONARY@MilkToastOnRye As we’ve stated already for about half of these, they are only wrong through your NEAR UNIVERSALLY REJECTED interpretation of those verses.
@Herberts_Burner@artMISSIONARY@MilkToastOnRye I’m just saying I believe in revelation and I’m saying these verses make it impossible for you to definitively state that my doctrine is contradictory. You must assume Nicea to come to that conclusion.
@Herberts_Burner@artMISSIONARY@MilkToastOnRye Sure I do. You’ve got the council of the Gods found in the oldest transcripts of Deuteronomy 32:8-9. You have Chemosh answering to a sacrifice in 2 Kings 3. There are others but they are a little more vague.
