@elonmusk This is not true. You choose to take stock in lieu of salary and bonus. So it's not the only way. Another option for you is to take a salary instead of stock. Richest man in the world complaining about paying a bit of tax ffs.

@wholemars You're missing the point. People are exploiting these rules in order not to pay a fair contribution in tax. That means other people have to pay more tax, which is unfair.

@mcuban That's a criticism of tax policy rather than crypto per se. There's no inherent reason for cryptocurrency to be treated for tax purposes any different than fiat currency.

If that network is now going to be practically useless because it's full of other evs then the incentive to own an ev is reduced. Owners might get turned off evs altogether.
