@JSBlackFrost84 At your level, you should be able to make it to the best grinding spot in the game once you get into Chapter 5 and it's actually not so supposed to be accessible until Chapter 6 or 7. It's heads and heels better than what you can do in Chapter 4.
Decided to check out one of the Chamber of Arms boss fights, obviously 100% underleveled for it, and got demolished without even having a turn.
I *did* notice that it's the exact same fight from Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, which makes me excited to think they're ALL returning :D
@GodisaCatGirl@joniniplo The best part of Final Fantasy Resonance is that, while it has a stagger meter which can lead to more damage (or more setup), you don't actually have to stagger anything to kill anything. I've killed like 80% of all enemies and bosses before they even get staggered.
I remember when Phantom Blade Zero was first showcased and like no one really thought it was going to look like that, or play like that, and the developers were all like, "Bet?"
@ILucasK He's not going to ever look at it now that he knows how incredibly wrong he was about it. "I suppose it'll be fine, but der hur, the fanbase for this game are ridiculous!" was the message of his video on it.
@RaidouCyrus War of the Visions deserves it. Pegged as the successor to FFT, it could absolutely be great as a console port. It was good as a gacha to.
One of the reasons I want to support FF Resonance is bc I want a console and pc port of War of the Visions.
Hopefully their next project is going to be this one.
Don't try to fight Sephiroth in Chapter 5 unless you did an insane amount of grinding. If you find him, and back down, it shows that it's at least a level 55 fight.
I was in my mid-30s at the beginning of Chapter 5, heh.
Final Fantasy Resonance really opens up in Chapter 5 when you get the airship. The entire world is flooded with sidequests, Espers, Visions, and level 55+ bosses. Not to mention you can start in on the Chamber of Arms (which you won't reasonably be able to do at the beginning).
@MoreLimitless FFResonance can be their pure turn based series. The main FF can be whatever system they choose to use, since that's what FF has always been,
@esk_XIII@OhNoItsAlexx He means the brand new pixelated CGI cutscenes for story segments. Happy to report there is more than just the opening cutscene.
@prodEXIlED I'm not even level 40 yet, just began Chapter 5, and my mages with the right buffs are hitting tens of thousands of damage on elemental weaknesses, heh.
@exe_files_ So fun fact: the HP threshold barriers were a thing in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius as well to "instill challenge" in a fight so Whales or try hards couldn't manage to just insta-kill a boss.
@corricorricorri I watched several LPs during the demo phase that switched immediately to the Japanese language citing "English dub is never good in these things" and they missed out on SUCH A GREAT DUB.
