To the people calling me a “DEI” and saying that it’s good that I was rejected, you can leave your racism at the door. I am a McNair Scholar and NIH IRTA Post-Bacc who graduated with honors. And, thanks to sheer spite ALONE, I’m reapplying to PhD programs again next cycle.
If you’re applying this cycle and interested in assessment, I would highly recommend @HFLA_PhD! Her support, knowledge, and guidance is unmatched.
I couldn’t imagine navigating my PhD without her!
I find it so disturbing that applicants are concerned about not having publications when applying to graduate school and that some schools weigh this criteria heavily. This inadvertently penalizes talented scientists from circumstances that don’t align with publishing.
If you live in the #DFW metroplex & have experienced a #Trauma, this #paid study may be of interest. By participating in this study, you will help us improve #Trauma interventions. Thank you for considering and spreading the word !! #ClinicalTrials#PTSDAwareness#psychology
I wonder how many of the right wing complaints about academia are like this. The dispute was a small part of the paper, and not something the paper could even address. Hard to do science with collaborators who throw around accusations like this.
Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at @NASSPDorg! It was fascinating to hear about the latest developments in the field.
It was a pleasure to share my research, and reconnect with @klevyphd and others.
I find the clinical PhD v MD/DO comparison that happens on this app so exhausting. It’s also a major barrier to collaborative, multidisciplinary care. Perhaps we should stop centering ourselves and put that energy into serving our patients and communities.
I am *SO* excited to announce I will be attending @UNT this fall to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology under the mentorship of @HFLA_PhD 💚🤍🖤
I absolutely cannot wait and am so grateful for this opportunity!!
