@True_wawan@JasonPremoMFG It makes things easier to thread together without fumbling about trying to get them started. And makes it harder to cross thread things.
@HeliUteSeaFan@madebyolah Bmw has this feature. But it's a satellite or cell connection you're paying for so you can turn it on and warm it up from farther away than your key fob can reach.
@boobluvr1@madebyolah I was under the impression it's not actually the heated seats that you're paying for but the cell or satellite connection that allows you to start your car and warm up your seats remotely. Not just from the parking lot as you're walking up, but from anywhere. Miles away even.
@wolyrobb@CrazyWeeMonkey Colorado is a weird place for offroading. There are dirt roads you can drive just about anything on, and then there are trails that you need a rock crawler that has to be trailered to the trailhead, and almost nothing in between.
@pdxpragmatist Or the road is too fast. Put up some plastic bollards to narrow the lanes. Or get crafty with curbs and islands. Speed limits don't work, but traffic calming measures work great.
@garrisondotio@emm0sh@aaronhavsy They probably do though. I know a guy that knows a guy that gets paid to sit in my office and consider these things. ; )
@emm0sh@ruostu That's mostly correct but you're missing the most important factor: Performance is limited by allowable surface temperature and usually that limit is way higher for less conductive materials. Which allows for higher power if you're using a case that the device recognizes.
@jstlkng30@ShegunTweets Zero isn't possible though. Somebody rips ass on their lunch break and there will be particles in the air around them for days. Not enough to matter, but not zero.
@aw_wally@Travis_Sawchik Probably more like the only pitches that were measured were in practice so the pitchers were basically only counting their best potential instead of their true average.
@CasquetteGirl My hot take as the guy that wrecked the curve in most of my classes is that reading ahead really helps with understanding what professors with thick accents are saying.
@lmilsfsd@Idonotconsent6 That's a big scary number, but just for reference, an average 3MW wind turbine puts out enough clean energy to offset that much oil in less than one day. Every hour it runs is two barrels of oil worth of energy.
@FurbyPerson@ianbrooke I assume it's basically an interferometer. The recombined light beams will get lighter and darker as they go in and out of phase with each other. You can calculate the rate or rotation from the frequency of the light/dark cycle.
