So much of my story—and Barack's—runs through the South Side of Chicago. We had so much fun going down memory lane with @People, sharing moments from the decades we've spent together, the opening of the Obama Presidential Center, and the work we still have left to do in our next chapter. We hope you'll check out the interview: https://t.co/N7HgrjrQRj
Calm Mind, Happy Life - His Holiness the Dalai Lama on the real key to a happy life: it's not money, power, or health — it's a calm, peaceful mind. Video originally recorded on September 9, 2006.
Sam Smith has announced the release of their fifth album “Hazel Eyes,” releasing on August 21.
“This album is an incredibly special record to me,” says Smith. “I have been writing it for over three years with a very small group of beautiful, dear friends of mine. This album is very personal, and I feel I have deepened myself as an artist through the making of it, through being a producer on the record, to walking alongside this record from the start to the finish and pushing myself at every single turn. This record and this music is incredibly romantic. I’ve learned so many life lessons through making this album, and I’ve documented it all through the music.”

I am so excited to bring this piece of work and music to you. An honest account of my life the last few years, and a sweet escape for anyone who needs it. I believe, after this record more than ever, that love is a cure and music is a sanctuary and honesty is my north star. I can’t wait to share it with you all. Thanks for sticking round all these years to listen.
Sam xx
We have no guarantee we'll be happy, we just hope that we will. We hope we'll overcome whatever problems confront us and if we lose hope we despair. Happiness corresponds with peace of mind and a key to that is warm-heartedness. Developing compassion brings courage and self-confidence; warm-heartedness and intelligence bring peace of mind.
A long-time ally and beloved queer icon, Meryl Streep recently reflected on the impact the LGBTQ+ community has had on culture while promoting ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’, telling Out that it was a "joy to have made [the film] with [the LGBTQ+] community in mind. Top of mind."
From her unwavering appreciation for the queer audiences who have embraced her work to her support for LGBTQ+ human rights, Meryl has earned her place as one of the community's most cherished icons.
She turns 77 today – happy birthday, Meryl!

Haters gonna hate. Racists gonna be racist.
In all this madness, strive to be a Michelle Obama.
Grace under fire. Strength that doesn’t break.
Be the one who rises above it.
