Quick action from the top! I slipped and nearly fell on a wet floor in the Boston City Council Chambers this morning. Apparently an HVAC unit was leaking resulting in a puddle on the floor. City Councilors Mike Flaherty and Ed Flynn checked on me and Flynn even grabbed a mop!

@Choppy617 @BostonAreaAlert Private ambulances are also facing staffing shortages. Their inability to service contracted, private facilities is party why we are seeing an increase in call volume, especially that of low-acuity calls.

Staffing shortages are resulting in increased response times. City officials need to conduct a formalized study to review deployment and efficacy of EMS to ensure citizens have a timely response to their medical emergency.
