Call it a case of bait and switch going the right way (if there is such a thing). @Ben_Martin13 applied for a job last winter. The position the former @cccsdbaseball star received was better than he could have imagined. Story:

Big congratulations to @NSilverRCB on being named to @RBJdaily’s Power 100 list.

Here's a look at the leaders in barrel consistency (average EV/max EV) by count for 2020 hitters.
Not surprisingly, hitters barrel the ball more consistently in advantage counts. The ability to barrel the ball consistently when behind in the count makes guys elite (@ Mookie 👀)
@BeRock21 Good point Brock, I think that has a lot to do with it. I also think that it has to do with the inability to move the 1B too far against a righty. With a LHH you can vacate the left side, but with a RHH the 1B has to be able to cover the bag, leaving a hole in the shift.
This study provided some important information on pitch tunneling.
Now, we know that the typical behind-the-mound view can be misleading.

If the purpose of tunneling pitches is to fool hitters, why do we use a behind the mound view to evaluate pitch tunneling rather than the hitter's perspective?
This study I published takes an in depth look at this concept:

It’s been great using LamTrack to create these reports for our pitchers.
Very excited to launch the complete version 1.0 of our RShiny App this coming week, which will house and automatically generate these reports for our pitchers.
Here’s a quick look at the reports we are able to generate after using LamTrack for our guys at @SjfcBaseball.
Great work from our lead analyst at Silver Dawg, Inc., @Ben_Martin13.
Foundations of Hitting Certification ✅
Shout out to @DrivelineBB, @JasonOchart, @MaxDutto_ and everyone involved in creating the course for delivering a top quality product as always.
@LineDrivePro Great thread! Out of curiosity, how did you get bat speed and attack angle data? Is it reverse engineered from batted ball data, or measured swing data available somewhere?
“If you from last year couldn’t intern with current you and learn something, you’re doing something wrong.” Great quote about personal growth from @Challenger_ST on his podcast.
