Let me recall that Édouard Bizimana is not only the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Burundi but also the Chairperson of the AU Executive Council.

If he doesn't read documents of the organisation he chairs, let me remind him that the African Union adopted multiple resolutions condemning the FDLR genocidal force and calling for its disarmament and repatriation. Let me also remind him that the AU, through its mediation, unreservedly supports the Washington Accords, which were signed in the presence of President Evariste Ndayishimiye.

In this regard, the Government of DRC signed the Washington Peace Agreement of 27 June 2025 and the Washington Accords for Peace and Prosperity of 4 December 2025, in which it committed to neutralize the FDLR. How then is it possible that Édouard Bizimana, whose country is not signatory to those Accords, comes from nowhere to claim that the FDLR is an "alibi" (for whatever it means)?

It's appalling to note that the Chairperson of the African Union, whose army collaborates with the FDLR in eastern DRC, continues to deny the existence of a genocidal force that was condemned on multiple occasions by the very organisation he chairs.

The African Union should be serious and avoid, for the future, to hand over the reins of our precious organisation to people who obviously don't have the capacity to lead it.

📌Not surprised, since CNDD-FDD came to power, Burundi has repeatedly demonstrated that anything touching the #FDLR seems to affect them in one way or another.

📌It is, of course, not surprising, given that the Gacaca courts revealed the involvement of members of this political party, including high-ranking officials, in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in #Rwanda.

📌Of course, handing over the rotating AU chairmanship to incompetent leaders will have far-reaching consequences.

📌The period of Burundi’s leadership of the AU will be considered vacant.

📌 When you talk about the #FDLR, it hurts both Gitega and Kinshasa, as they are its trustworthy friends.

📌The @Rwandapolice has warned that vaping is not permitted in the country and urged users to stop or face legal action.

📌@RNPSpokesperson ACP Boniface Rutikanga said the law classifies vaping products as drugs, meaning users cannot justify their use on the grounds that they produce little or no smoke or odor.

📌During a TikTok discussion with social media users, Health Minister Dr. @nsanzimanasabin also warned about the health risks associated with vaping, describing it as among the substances of concern because of its potential harmful effects.

📌Vapes, also known as e-cigarettes, are electronic devices that produce an aerosol for users to inhale. The aerosol can contain substances including nicotine, propylene glycol and glycerin.

📌Vaping devices come in various forms, including products designed to resemble pens and flash drives, which can make them difficult to identify without prior knowledge.

📌The availability of different flavors and scents, along with the design of the devices and their promotion or discussion on social media, has contributed to their growing popularity among young people.

The hypocrisy and lies of the DRC government are what will cause the Washington Agreement not to be implemented. What is unfortunate is that the United States of America cannot condemn the DRC government for violating the agreement.
The FDLR group has once again appeared in the fighting after entering into a deceptive agreement with the DRC government. The attacks in which the FDLR was involved took place in the territory of KALEHE, in the areas of Cambombo, Cyakafu, Kaziba, Lumbishi, Kisimbi, and Kafufura.
So, after we recently learned that the government of President Félix Tshisekedi had entered into an agreement to dismantle the FDLR, how can it now be fighting alongside it in the war?
The fighting involved FARDC, FDNB, FDLR, Wazalendo, and foreign mercenaries.
