I also underscored the need for the DRC government to neutralize the FDLR in areas under its control, as these steps are essential to addressing the security concerns that have fueled mistrust and instability in the region.

Good morning. This is Dr. Von Batten. A short time ago, Secretary of State Marco Rubio (@SecRubio) announced a new round of sanctions targeting members of the @PaulKagame regime.

Effective immediately, all visas issued to key members of the #Kagame regime have been revoked, and those individuals are no longer welcome in the United States. Under U.S. law, visa restrictions extend to the immediate family members of sanctioned individuals. Accordingly, all visas issued to those family members are also revoked with immediate effect. Any affected family members currently in the United States should determine whether they are subject to the ban and, if so, depart the country immediately.

Entry into the United States is a privilege, not a right. Those who commit human rights abuses and war crimes are not welcome here. President @PaulKagame, in his official capacity as head of state, is not affected by these measures. However, if he continues down this destructive path, he may one day discover that he has crossed a line from which there is no return.

@pascal_mulegwa Le ministre ne maîtrise pas bien le sous secteur pharmaceutique en RDC, particulièrement à Kinshasa il doit s'approcher aux spécialistes dans ce secteur avant de parler de ça en publique.
